Jang Dong-hyuk, leader of the People Power Party, announced that he would introduce a "nationality labeling system for online comments" to prevent foreign forces from manipulating public opinion and interfering in elections.

During a Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 13th, Leader Jang stated, "An international joint research team from KAIST and Germany's Max Planck Institute conducted a full analysis of approximately 112 million Naver comments over the past 10 years, identifying about 24,000 malicious accounts linked to foreign forces." He claimed, "These accounts primarily posted comments criticizing politicians and inciting social conflict, and activity from new malicious accounts increased by 51% during election seasons."

He continued, "This is clear evidence that foreign forces are interfering in our elections through the manipulation of public opinion," adding, "I will strongly push for an online comment nationality labeling system that requires the nationality of the commenter to be indicated on their post, regardless of who they are."

He further emphasized, "Whether it is China, anywhere else, or any other country, if they attempt to interfere in South Korean elections through the manipulation of public opinion, we must stop them at all costs."
