Thank you, Scott, for bringing the truth to light. It’s refreshing to finally see someone willing to challenge the marketing hype and call out claims that simply don’t stand up to scrutiny. Too many home hobbyists and professionals take these polished marketing campaigns at face value. Honest, independent testing like this helps separate real performance from clever advertising—and that’s something the industry desperately needs.
This is the only detailing channel where the quiet parts are brought forward and openly discussed. Thank you Scott as always for the education. Now let me get to your website and see if I can get my hands on some graphene coating.
Love your videos. Thanks so much. I have been an avid detailer of my own and family vehicles since 1968. I put my first graphene coating on my well maintained six year old car, 16 months ago. I did a super prep and light polish and completed the job in about 40 hours . (incldeed total winshield work ( not graphene). Very happy with the ease of maintaining the finish. I have been using a polish and quick gloss detail spray from a supplier named Race Glaze for the last twentyfive plus years. I have loved these two products for ease of use , but not longevity. Statements & Question. I asked the supplier of my graphene coating if it was OK to use Race Glaze gloss detailer on top of my graphene. I was told that I could , but not highly recomended. They said occasionly would be OK. I swear the Race Glaze is the most antistaic product I have every used as far as dust is concerned. Are you familiar with the ingredients in Race Glaze & if so, is it ok to use as a quick inbetween washes "touchup"?
Scott, thank you. You're the only one who tells the truth about detailing products. I'm now very surprised at those companies who I thought were trust worthy.
I remember watching an interview with a chemist a couple of years ago. He said the "crosslinking" claims for graphene can't happen in a coating because it's suspended. The graphene does nothing. It's just free floating. A coating is only as good as the ceramic in the bottle and how it's applied.
