He was only 63 but looked so much older .

Vernon died June 26, 1979. Two years after Elvis' last concert June 26, 1977

Thank you for sharing this. I have never seen it before. Vernon passed away just 3 months after my dad passed away. I was the same age as Lisa. I was only 10 years old. 😢

Vernon couldn’t carry on for long without Elvis.
When Elvis died, he cried “what am I to do now ?”.

I was there that morning we had just got there and we were across the hwy from the Gates and I had went into a little diner and I saw a well dressed man on the pay phone and when he got done talking to whoever he was talking to he then turned around and said Ladies and Gentlemen I hate to have to tell you this But Vernon Presley has just passed away… the women were all crying and going out to cross the Hwy to go to the Gates.. I will never forget that day I was only 16

Vernon had lost everything he was living for. Elvis was Vernon's world. Vernon realized after Elvis died that Elvis was right about Dee Presley and Vernon divorced her. He put Precilla as trustee because Lisa Marie wasn't old enough to accept her inheritance from her Daddy. Rest in peace Mr. Vernon Presley 🙏

I was at Graceland in 1978 waiting to go to the graves. Vernon was in the backseat of a car that drove through the gates.
