Hi Louise, I just want to say I've so thoroughly loved these videos. As someone who would've loved to study classics in school but like many, never got the opportunity, this felt like finally getting access to something wonderful I'd only ever missed out on before! I was reading the Odyssey along with these videos and loved your deep dives so much. I was really fortunate this evening to actually get to see Emily Wilson in person at her book event in Toronto (she even signed my copy of Crossing the Wine Dark Sea--pinching myself!!) and while she was speaking, questions like "what was an Ancient Greek hero compared to modern understanding?" or "Was Homer one person?" made me immediately think of your videos and how accessible you've made classical studies to me, and everyone else watching. So thank you, thank you!

It was all wonderful , Louise and I hope that I can find the time to listen to all episodes again. Question;) .Which editions will you be using for Virgil ‘s Aeneid and Homer’s ,The  Iliad ?

Have you seen the new Odyssey film? I decided not to. With all the slaughtering of animals and people, and monsters munching people 😅, I decided I didn’t need to see it on the big screen. Also, Emily Wilson wrote a scathing review of the film.
