It was my honor to call Hal one of my best friends for twenty years, I thank him for the mention.

I’m a 72 y.o. Retired pro drummer. In the 90s I was working in a drum shop in the north Bay Area of California. That was where Hal retired. He’d come into the shop and share some great stories with us. We’d always put work on hold to listen. He was super nice to us and besides listening to his experiences, we’d bombard him with questions about different bands and artists. He was totally open and honest and had us in stitches sometimes. I felt honored to be able to converse with him like that. He was a wonderful guy. Thanks, Hal, for all the great tracks and for being such a good guy! R.I.P.

Imagine having Hal Blaine resume, what a gifted musician.

What a gentleman, it’s so refreshing to listen. He was in the “leading edge” of the music scene. RIP Hal. There will never be another Wrecking Crew.

I love the Neil Peart quote,”when I was young listening to the radio, I didn’t realize my 10 favorite drummers were Hal Blaine.”

Hal was not a drummer: he was THE drummer.

Hal was referring to Lennon during rock and roll sessions c 1973-74

I love how he speaks so well of his contemporaries and the acts he worked with. Such a gentleman.

What a legend. RIP Hal Blaine.

It's almost impossible to picture the life Hal Blaine had. You could take any 5 year period in his career and for anyone else, spread it out over 20 years and it would still be a fine career.

Imagine the honor his family feels knowing Hal left a permanent and positive mark on our entire culture.

What a treat to hear this interview from someone who was “there” through the music renaissance of the 50, 60&70s. Never says a bad word about anyone Hal Blaine is an American treasure.  Godspeed Hal.

Hal was a drum god.

He comes from a different place in time, when people actually got along. The fact that some idiots could give this a thumbs down shows where we’re at today.

Who in God's name would give a thumbs down for this interview. Geez....

Wow, this is the kind of insight you just don't get from the artists themselves. This studio drummer is a rhythm section fly-on-the-wall.

Nice🎶music history. What a nice man. Very humble. Sad he is gone ... 💕

What a guy. Such a rich history.

He never said "no, I can't be there". That's why he was a "first call" for over 10 yrs. No one liked being around John Lennon when he was drinking. He could be horrible!

Wonderful to hear and see this interview with one of the most important artists in the music industry!
