Making the mother of all omelettes here jack, cant fret over every egg!

Ohhhh this is an unexpected one!
Glad to see you checking out so many different games lately

4:20 you are very much correct there! Monsoon is almost entirely robotic, though he is still a human

You should've seen the whole speech. That's the "memes DNA of the soul" and "DOKTOR TURN OFF MY INHIBITOR" quotes

an important thing that i usually dont see people that recommend the MGRR songs and talk about how its the bosses talking to raiden/about their background through the songs  bring up is that these lyrics represent the bosses as much as they reflect raiden too. if one follows his story in the two games he appears in, there are many lines that can be interpreted to play on raidens past and background, so the bosses are sort of a twisted reflection of him, maybe reminding him of what could have happened if he never broke away from the Patriots or joined a PMC like the Winds of Destruction. (oh yeah, by the way, all the bosses belonging to the PMC have names of very dangerous winds, like Mistral Jetstream, Sundowner)

for example all the explanation about the stains of the past not being able to get washed away applies just as much to Raiden, aka "Jack the Ripper" (Jack is his actual name), raised as a child soldier. this fight also marks the moment he truly accepts his own nature as a killer, accepting to live with these stains.
he does this by having his pain inhibitors deactivated "And it will come like a flood of pain".
another line is the pre-chorus of "in the mud and sinking deeper  into a peaceful life" - Raiden has a family, a son and a (probably, its complicated) loving wife.
the "until my dreams have disappeared" line is also interesting, as he specifically talked about the nightmares he has. night after night, in MGS2.

examples for songs that werent here on youtube:
Rules of Nature - Raiden still thinks hes hot shit at that point. the "predator" part applies just as much to him as to the giant mech you fight.
Own Master Now - "born into a pack" "ordered to attack" "in chains" all might as well refer to raidens past. this is the first game after the Patriots are defeated, so he is his own master now.
Stranger I Remain - raiden quite literally travels across the sea at one point in the game. but even aside that "violent winds are upon us" may literally refer to the bosses fighting raiden. "a stranger who has found an even stranger war" as a cyborg, raiden is quite strange (especially since regular enemies are only cyborgs to get an age rating; cant slice humans into a million pieces) and so is the whole situation he got himself into. "for all of my life, a stranger i remain" quite obvious.
Collective Consciousness is interesting, because it doesnt reflect about Raidens past, but how he came to think about civilians, while fighting his own war, about the people who brought Senator Armstrong into power.

the game has such a cult status that when someone streams it, regularly chat will start singing along with the lyrics and quote entire conversations in the game, thats how memorable a lot of this is. its also one of the reasons that many fans consider this spinoff (almost) canon, because its so fun. the other reasons are that Platinum definitely did its homework, representing the themes of the Metal Gear series well, albeit pretty simple due to limited playtime. and the last reason is that it doesnt matter - MGRR is set after MGS4, which is the official end of the saga.

“They make this song to kill anyone above 40”
~Max0r😂

Revengeance very much pioneered the idea of mixing EDM/Dubstep sounds with metal, and it was an idea that came from the concept of cyborgs being a mix of organic and machine made into music.

So many of these famous video game songs earned their fame mostly because they had vocals in them which is still very rare.

just wanted to suggest enhypen’s first live performance of “Bloody Paradise” from their Busan concert. i think it would make for a great reaction video!

An important thing to note is that every member of the Winds of Destruction has been through some sort of traumatic event. Monsoon lived through the Cambodian Genocide, Jetstream Sam went on a one man war against the Brazilian cartel who killed his father, Mistral was abused and became a serial killer who saw the war she became sucked into as an escape, Sundowner is a psychopath who views Imperial Japan as the perfect vision of war; ever moving forward and constantly changing things around it, Khasim is a soldier who lost his identity though thankless war as a faceless soldier, etc. The final boss even stands as a beacon for what he believes: that those with the necessary strength and belief in their ideals will be the ones to hold the reins of power and fight for what they believe in. Not corrupt politicians sending people to die in wars they don't believe in. Not the top 1% of society pulling the strings and controlling others through blackmail and bribery. He wants to use War as a business to END War as a business.

if you have time, enhypen’s first performance of “Bloody Paradise” is definitely worth checking out. would love to hear your thoughts on it.

This song and bossfight are unstoppable, that's why it's so fast-paced.

The game's OST was my main playlist for around a year when it came out. Awesome game and soundtrack!

Love your energy!

wow checking out the gameplay footage is so cool its really different im subbing :)

Time for a video game stream, it'd be awesome to see you play the game and feel the music in the moment as it's meant to be

Lost my face with the first track, yet to find it😂
