Fun fact: if you somehow manage to spawn a custom entity that deals negative damage, when it hits you, it increases your shield
Peak find everything music btw

man if the devs wanna remove this feature, then it's useless since it only happens in admin panel, a modifier MEANT for power where you can do almost anything you want to yourself, entities, and even troll or help your friends and still won't count towards progression.

4:40  As a Coder, What happens with Healing Item is, Basically, The game put you at -9 Quintillion health, as it doesn’t really compute that very well, If you try to Heal, The Game will recognize that your health is below zero, and will register it as a Death

(It does this because then the Health ‘Stat’ is Updated and this results in the Game realizing you should have died, and it will just kill the Player on the spot)

I hope this stays really niche doesn’t get patched. I want to do this tomorrow with my friends

0:25 i remember like 4 years ago, me and my friend would play muscle legends together and set our size to NaN and start killing everyone to get better titles 😭✌️

14:35 513 is one above 2^9 so the floating point imprecision causes 513-1536 to round to 1024

Guys yesterday yes yesterday I was playing doors when I reached door 50 there was no cutscene. There was floating transparent pink orbs. Figure wasn't moving and was T-Posing. When I touched him I didn't die. And there was no guiding books or smth. So I could only leave. And I was playing NORMALLY not hacking or stuff. So yeah.

6:34 bro sealed a fountain

I know a little bit about luau coding and floats, and I have a lot of feedback:
1:15 This one's weird: Luau has no concept of an integer. Everything is a 64 bit floating point number, and DOORS just rounds the decimal part away after converting it to a number. Entering fractions is invalid, since calling tonumber("42/56") just returns nil because it does not do math, meaning the game would treat it the same as if you entered "asdasd". Your explanation of integers is correct, just irrelevant.
1:44 Integer overflow doesn't cap it at the highest possible value. If it's signed, it becomes the largest negative number, and if it's unsigned, rolls back to zero.
2:03 Why is the complex plane here???
2:20 For those wondering, this might be because Gold is stored as an IntValue, which is signed and 64 bit. There is no UintValue, though.
2:40 I'm gonna be pedantic. The game actually checks if the inputted value is less than 10 since you're inputting health, instead of 0. If it is less than 0, it sets it to 10. But this fails since comparisons with NaN are defined by the standard to always return false, and it lets the NaN value through.
2:55 No, infinity DOES exist if you work with floats. In Roblox, it's stored in math.huge, but you can get it in other ways. I presume the reason why it fails to kill you is because Roblox checks if the health value is less than 0, and if so, it kills you. But NaN < 0 is false, so it doesn't kill you. The explanation is also wrong since setting an IntValue (which casts a double to a long int) to either infinity or NaN just sets it to 0.
3:30 Same as above. Also, no, the game does not think you have negative health, because your Humanoid would have been killed. Maybe it sometimes checks if it is ~(x >= 0) by returning out of the function that does stuff early, and always returns true for nan, and sometimes it checks if it's < 0, which always returns false for nan? Or maybe DOORS thinks your character is dead without that being reflected by the Humanoid that Roblox provides.
4:07 Here's a theory: the anti-cheat kills you. The admin panel probably doesn't trigger the anti-cheat. Setting your health to NaN doesn't trigger anything, but using a healing item causes the game to realize "oh, this player has their health set to an invalid value, they're probably exploiting, let's kill them" and that might be why (since exploiters have full control over their character).
5:03 This is likely a glitch in the animation. It stays at the max for a second, then it begins to deplete. But it calculates the overheal value by subtracting MaxHealth (10) by Health (NaN), causing it to become corrupted, so the moment it starts moving, its x position becomes (NaN, 0), and it disappears.
6:20 This is probably because it stops flickering if the time elapsed exceeds the flicker duration, but since flicker duration is NaN, it never hits that, and keeps going.
6:37 This probably is because the light brightness gets contaminated with NaN, and different lighting technologies handle it differently. (Low graphics uses Voxel or Shadowmap, max graphics uses Future, presumably)
9:38 It probably tries to pathfind to a player that DOORS thinks is alive, doesn't find anyone, and just freezes in place since it can't pathfind to anywhere. Maybe it's spamming the server console with errors, or maybe it just returns.
13:42 No, NaN is not negative infinity. Setting speed to NaN causes DOORS to try to set Humanoid.WalkSpeed to NaN, but Roblox catches that and just sets it to 0, likely by zeroing it if WalkSpeed is not greater than or equal to 0.
14:15 I'm clueless as to why this happens. +='ing an IntValue by NaN should set it to 0. But you get -2^63, somehow??? Perhaps replication acts weirdly causing that to happen???
14:29 The number doesn't go up because floats don't have enough precision at -2^63. It tries to add, say, 10 gold, but the gaps inbetween numbers are much greater than 10, so it just rounds to the number that you're currently at, since all calculations are performed with doubles in Luau
14:38 It's 513 because it's greater than half the gap between numbers at -2^63 with 64 bit floats. Halfway between, 512, rounds away from zero, getting you the same number.
14:52 It increases by 1000 because it's rounding to the nearest floating point number after adding 513, which is 511 away.

7:21 bramble usually teleports to the nearest lampost to a player, but since you are dead, theres NO players, so theres no teleportation.

4:25 im pretty sure why you die is when you heal then NaN converts into a number, making you die. ye im a roblox coder

14:28 the reason gold does not increase is because gold is a floating point numbers and adding small ammounts to big floating point numbers makes them round to the nearest representable value which is  -9223372036854776000 so it does not change because floats cannont represent a value like -9223372036854775999 because they don't work that way

4:33 simple answer, the heal command heals you either less than or equal to (which will cancel out to 0) to the limit integer, which  registers you as dead

5:58 i think when your hp is under 0, NaN the game sees you as dead so, it stops checking what room you are in, the brightness too.

Thx!

Thanks for teaching me math bro i needed it, would come back to this video to learn

You're describing all of this really well btw

You see, when Haste or Dread kill you, all they do is stop you and put decals on your screen before killing you. Eyestalk actually has a full on animated cutscene, which is probably what differentiates it.

10:50 Yeah no, I can definitely confirm glitch spawns. I clipped through a locked door and bugged the entire game out like 10x more, I even got a glitch fragment out of it. Literally couldn't walk anywhere, had to noclip or get glitched back (screwed with the seek chase and everything man)

aggular i subbed bcs u r awesome :3
