By the playoffs, Dallas was peaking like few SB champions ever had. The losses to the Cards and Steelers were annoyances, useful shields against complacency.  Neither the Raiders nor the Steelers would have been able to handle Doomsday in January, as neither one could beat the same Bronco team that was beaten convincingly by the Cowboys in New Orleans.
