Fortnite OG was a mode that could've been amazing! It had a great start & huge potential but it ultimately failed at the end of the day. Thankfully not Rocket Racing bad but still not great. From having over 1.6 Million players to barley breaking over 50k, Fortnite OG's downfall really needs to be studied. Hopefully Epic has some great plans to turn this mode around & make it amazing because what came out of it that was good, was well amazing lol. I guess we'd have to see what the future holds for Fortnite OG.

What do you think about Fortnite OG as a whole? What do you think Epic should do with the mode after Season X? I'd love to know!

The biggest Fortnite killer is Tim Sweeney himself. Fn OG is the definition of wasted potential of a perfect game. You can easily tell that the entire Fn OG & marketing department has been fired.

I’m assuming the majority of the 1000 employees laid off was working for OG just a theory

As much as I wouldn’t mind going into Chapter 2, I think it’s best for them not to release it cause once Chapter 2 gets the same treatment of neglect as Chapter 1, the people who deeply admires it would start complaining about the inconsistencies and missing features.

The biggest issues I had were that you get all the modern movement options (which, granted, cool as hell for non-builders) and Season 3 didn't have any remixes of the original season's Battle Pass skins.

og is too damn sweaty

For me OG is unplayable due to the other players in the lobbies. I dont mind fighting a better player, but if everyone is Unreal and you're not even diamond you give up quickly. The majority of the player base isnt that high ranked and therefore wont play that mode. Just that simple. That also doesnt mean good players ruin OG, matchmaking does. Epic could have tweaked the mechs a bit, but thats a different topic. As for they dont care, I think they got a ton of work with all their collabs so obviously they cant treat OG like BR and OG was never meant to be what BR is or was.

You see. The starting issue was that they tried to make this mode for everyone rather than for those who wanted to re-experience Chapter 1.

The actual target audience didn't want bots or SBMM, but the majority did. Why is Epic still listening to the non-target audiences when they should be listening to the feedback from the target audience of a mode?

Well 1. It's Tim. Are we surprised? And 2. Because they seem to hold the belief that "a game made for everyone will always succeed." At this point in the big 2026, that has never been and will never be the case.

For me I like think this was the alternative mode if u didn't like what regular battle royale had going on. So if not OG then give players a alternative battle royale mode!

I switched to br after starting og as a beginner zero build unranked. Had no idea what og or br and didn't know there were two separate games either. Anyway I tried br a few months later and decided to go back when I'm good enough to defeat a champion as it feels like the ones that win are mainly elites and higher. I've been back a few times mainly cause a friend is always there but also to practice a little bit the latter hasn't happened much. But I don't know anything I've only been playing for six seven months I know nothing

Since og chapter 1 is almost over I'm gonna come out and say I first heard we were getting og back when it was still a few months before it got announced by epic and if it's not a coincidence we're definitely getting chapter 2

Idk man it was unblable for regular players until they added skill based match making it was down right bullshit maybe im alone on this but yeah

In my opinion they shouldn't have started it at season 1, I know they wanted to give the "full experience" again, but starting at a more barebones season like that when today fortnite players are used to a lot more happening it makes sense why the player counts dropped quickly to me, they had all that hype and if they started at like season 3 or 4 I think it could've ended up being a lot healthier for the mode and maybe they would've actually kept effort into it.

I don't want OG to disappear completely

Epic stated they weren't going past chapter 1 in OG when it dropped.

If we go to chapter 2 and they somehow screw that up I'm going to be pissed

Or

If we don't go at all I'm quitting fortnite because of the day Luke chapter 1 all over again than that's just stupid

So much hyperbole... you know,  I like OG... but I like the current BR better. OG is super hard to win... oh my God the bots the bots the bottttttttts! What bots? I get my butt handed to me every game... it took me 49 games to get a win today in season X and someone friendly gave it to me. I never come across bots in builds but I notice they are in zero build and they aren't a problem. I doubt season 9 had people not caring about it because of some jpg... it ran during spriteapalooza where people only cared about collecting than playing the old game. Only those tired of sprites played OG... and I play it pretty much to get to experience what I missed.

here before leave  the billion dollars company alone comments

Tbh Season X has been great for the mode

yeah og is have a issue but they are not gonna fix that they only fixing a little of bugs and a balancing mech on this season but the biggest issue is this mod is only made by money why people loved og is because it made with effort and patience but this one is made for money but ı gotta say this season x is awesome most people had jobs nowdays and when you look at the player count in the evening you can see there is 40.5B players that is a lot of player for a sidemode we have to accept with mistakes or this mode can be gone with same fate of ballistic shit season 9 battlepass was ok season x is nice on the gliders and 2 amazing skin they messed up on the female drift btw btw spoiler alert:br and the this mode ending on same day this mode is slow as mf ı wish this mode is fast like 1 week of new update or maybe 2
