If I had to start all over again today, without a network, without suppliers, and without contacts, this is exactly the plan I would follow. I sold over a million euros worth of clothing last year and helped more than 300 people earn extra income—sometimes even replacing their entire salary.
We start with the only thing that matters when you're starting from scratch: finding information where it is. YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok are just the tip of the iceberg; the real reseller communities are on Discord and Reddit, and often all it takes is observation to understand the vocabulary, the prices, and what actually sells. I also explain the time-versus-money trade-off and why so many people watch this type of content for two years as entertainment without ever taking the plunge.
Next, sourcing. I show the real difference between a public supplier and a direct supplier: The North Face fleece jackets around €8.50 to €12 versus €17 to €22 elsewhere. At a 1.3x markup, once taxes are paid, there's nothing left—that's where most beginners go wrong.
And one point that no one explains: the price. Our Ralph Lauren cable-knit sweaters sold significantly less well at €35 than at €45-50, because a price that's too low makes people think they're counterfeit.
Start Vinted with €0, begin buying and reselling, suppliers, selling prices, make money.
