Great looking wagons there. I may have to invest in a 3d printer soon...

I’ve been using 3d printed items to make older LNWR and NSR wagons, with metal details they look great and run really well.

Not a modeller myself but those are impressive

Looks good, a few layer issues (unusual for a Bamboo printer) on some of the sides but other wise something to be proud of..  Modelling in UK N Gauge I use a resin printer to print wagons and other items for the layout.  It's even more fun to design the model in CAD and then print that out..

Interesting.  Most of us use a resin printer for the higher details, but that is a lot more difficult and potentially risky.

Nice. I had a shortage of GBRF wagons, so a much cheaper way to get them.

I can't help but think that with the cost of your time, the cost of having the transferes made etc. that it would have been cheaper to buy them ready made, if possible?

Yes you can 3D wagons & loco's. And you can 3D print hollow marker lamps in full detail about the size of a match head for your NEW A4's Hornby. Not those absolute 1/48th rubbish sat on the front of it. The key issue is orientation of the prints so they don't leave layer lines., but for that you need somebody who knows what they are doing. Being brutally honest, the resin finish on the wagons is not good, your lacking a lot of potential detail and the thickness of the hoppers is not in scale. I have a 16 ton coal wagon requested by a certain celeb with a big model railway….. that he will get when I get the leaf springs made of ABS/Composite Resin to actually work.
