Is it possible to live with depression and not notice it because you continue to work, meet with friends, and smile for the camera?
For six months, I convinced myself I could handle it on my own, even though I'd almost completely stopped eating and sleeping, woken up in tears, and no longer saw a future for myself. In this episode, I tell how I ended up in a psychiatric clinic, why I refused help, and what helped me start treatment. I share my experience of taking antidepressants, psychotherapy, and the initial changes that allowed me to regain my desires and plans.
I'm still undergoing treatment and sharing this story so that others don't wait, like I did, until things get really bad.
