The fact she BROKE a girl's PROSTHETIC leg... And that girl forgave her. What Lila almost did to Marinette would have NOTHING on what Sublime SHOULD'VE done to her.

Miraculous ladybug is a grown man's interpretation of what teenage girls consider "feminist girl power"

I honestly think miraculous needs to end, it’s in a purgatory state where none of the characters nor the storylines develop. Everything resets. S5 feels like the original show ended, while s6 is a reset to get younger fans who won’t keep up with continuity. I feel mlb will be the show to never have a proper resolution and will only “end” once cancelled. If that isn’t the case it will end up like winx where it keeps on being rebooted

Marinette liked the thought of Adrian and not him himself.

Her stalking pissed me off,  it’s creepy and embarrassing

Miraculous is holding us hostage at this point. I dropped the show but your video saved me from going back.

The thing that annoys me is that Marinette is still acting the same over Adrien even tho they're bf and gf already, like I kinda wanted her to chill out a bit and try to be a gf

I started watching this show in elementary school when my friends showed me at a sleepover. I've since graduated and am still watching this stupidness. There's no escape

Add the fact Chloe did less harm than Marinette herself speaks a lot 🤦

I think that all of this is especially strange given that adrien is barely even treated as a person in the later seasons. So much plot circles around him, but he’s just a plot device and never makes his own choices. Like, season 5 ending. Zero Involvement, and marinette takes over his family plot line…. I mean heck, Thomas even called him a “ken” once, like from Barbie. He exists only to be marinettes love interest at this point. So not only is marinettes character weaker when there is so much focus on her obsession, but eventually, when the only way we see Adrien characterized is through marinettes obsession with him he just becomes an object. It’s like when people criticized Thomas for how he wrote the female characters in the earlier seasons, he just went, “okay fine then I will make the male deuteragonist only exist for marinette and have no other relevance! That will make her a strong female character!” 🤦 I mean, Thomas literally called marinette his “digital daughter with his ex” once. Tom, marinettes dad, is named after Thomas…. It’s just… so creepy. Maybe marinettes creepiness is Projection almost.

I feel like Marinette being a stalker could’ve worked if she had consequences, wasn’t seen as this perfect person, and if Adrien didn’t give her what she wanted (which was him). I also think if they was going to make Marinette a creep, they should’ve made this show for older audiences because children shouldn’t be looking up to Marinette.

We need to remember this show is headlined by a grown ass man who constantly throws tantrums on Twitter. He outright compared Marinette to being his own daughter which is why she gets such special privileges despite the stuff she does, literally named her father THOMAS, has gone on record to say racist and misogynistic things that have bled into the shows writing itself, and Chloe’s writing is an inconsistent as it is because he can’t get over his middle school bullies. If Miraculous wasn't in the iron grip of this absolute bearded hack, it would not be in the state of seasonal rot and painful decline that it is in now.

What I hate about Marinette's character now is that her entire life revolves around either her Adrien obsession or 'woe is me' Ladybug life. She used to be so interesting and fun when she enjoyed fashion, art, creativity and now all of that is just gone to focus on her frankly t*xic behavior toward Adrien. Now this could actually could be an interesting plot point if actually written well with Ladybug being so consumed with her Ladybug life that she's had to sacrifice most of her hobbies and personal interest to continue being the superheroine that her crush on Adrien became the only 'normal' thing left to her and that's why she didn't tell Adrien the truth. She didn't want Gabriel's secret to interfere with the one thing she still considers ordinary in her life and this is framed as her being completely in the wrong, and she's forced to realize that she has been taking on too much and trying to keep Adrien in the dark made her no better than Gabriel.

However that is if it's done well, but it's not.

Take the Shangahai special for example. Instead of it being about Marinette rediscovering her mother's roots, she instead waste her parents' hard earned money on a way to follow Adrien across the planet even though she'll see him in a week. That only shows how frankly misogyn*istic this supposedly feminist show is, because of course the biracial girl can't have a want to learn more about her family, it's because of her crush that she even cares about that part of the world. That also doesn't even mention her frankly cruel behavior toward other women who dare to be in Adrien's general proximity.

And no, Thomas subverting typical fairytale tropes by making Adrien the Damsel in Distress or the Princess is not really that progressive. It just makes it feel like Marinette only sees Adrien as an object that exists for her own desires.

If you reverse all the genders, the interactions between girls toward Adrien would have been more critiqued (and the show maybe canceled). It's amazing how people glaze over SA when the male is the victim...

I've experienced stalking in middle school from a boy my age. He followed me around everywhere, stopping only when I went to the girl's bathroom. I did not find it "cute" or "endearing" or whatever Astruc is trying to convince us it is. I found it creepy and I reached a point where I confronted him about it and he stopped, thankfully. It's one thing if this was a season 1 or 2 issue for Marinette. But season 6? Come on.

I wanted to say that I would've been fine with her being a stalker if it was for first or second season,  and if it was adressed as bad thing to do. If they genuinely stated that it's a damned CRIME, that it's creepy and she should stop. Make her have consequenves.

BUT

Then I realized that the target audience consists of children and young teenagers so showing the superhero, that is supposed to be a role model (because that's how children will see her) actively commiting crimes "in the name of love" may let them think that even if she is punished it's ok to do the stalking because "she is the hero, so she is right. Even Santa said the is the best. The adults are just mean to her, she is just in love!".

What's even worse is that they DO acknowledge her stalking behaviour in the show, but she has no consequences for it. Not even a stern talking. It's mainly just Alya being "wow, you have his whole schedule memorised? Strange thing to do but whatever, let me help you by setting up scenarios where you have to be together. Sure worked for me and Nino to be locked up in a zoo cage for a day. "

There is an episode where she tries to BREAK INTO Adrien's house, so she can attend an all man party (even if it wasn't all man party, she still wasn't invited) and gets caught by a fire figter.

What does the fire fighter do?

Well help her BREAK INTO the house of course, because "it's in the name of love".

Miraculous should move on, I feel. End Marinette's story on a happy note, and create a whole new cast of characters with brand new storylines and intrigue.

Despite season five’s atrocious finale, the finale itself is much better than letting the show go on imo
