Very useful video thank you. Both sub drums on a Knitmaster 328 I've recently been gifted were siezed almost solid. Getting them free was tough, but it's all done now and spinning freely on both sides. Such a helpful video. Many thanks Caz
THANK YOU!!!! Very much appreciated! This worked great for me and my new to me vintage Singer Mod155. I will add that 1 drum was seized so solidly that it would not budge without the gentle application of heat from a hair dryer to be able to remove it.
I dunno if you are still looking at comments on this but you saved me a lot of money. I was able to perform the autopsy on a deal carriage and it seams to be fine so thanks.
Thanks for your informative video . My carriage on my singer 700 that I got on ebay was actually froze to the rail. I watched another video on carefully using a hair dryer to heat the carriage drum up enough to get it at least off the rail.Be careful as to much heat could melt the plastic gears. I got the pattern drums off cleaned and lubed the shafts and inside the rollers with your help and the rest back together.
