In northern California I lived and I found a small stream that came from the top of the mountain that fed into a delta that fed into the upper sca. River it was the south side of the mountain we're all the ferns and mushroom grow and moss and the moss was huge area with the water trickling down and I scrapped up the moss which was thick like indoor outdoor shagg carpet, I filled my back pack up with it took home and paned it it's my dogs food pan and I got 8oz of gold from that back pack full of moss it was packed in that moss so thick, that's what caught my attention was the yellow reflecting of the early morning sun off the moss on the face of this granite rock, water just trickling down real slow, it was close to dunsmuir ca. The mountain made its own sluce box the larger creek that it fed into mining company had been there 100 or more years ago cause you could see the devastation them mining company's do, leaving there scare on the river with big I hooks still planted in the rock , wouldn't you like to know how much I just scooped up with a mason trail and got 15 buckets full, loney laying on the ground I got less than 70 oz of gold more than 40 oz that was my first time gold panning and last I live in Dallas tx.
Whenever I see a mini-e, that's what I know that little excavator as, I am reminded of the clip of a guy driving one by a big escavator. The big escavator operator asks "Whos a big boy?" and the dude in the mini-e yells back "Im a big boy!". Makes me giggle everytime.
To aid in the cleanup process of the highbanker, just fill a 20L / 5gal bucket with water and dunk all the parts in the bucket to wash. Then pour the excess water out and then dump the concentrates into your pan. Itās kinda obvious but watching you struggle with the pan was painful š
