I thought I recognized the rocks at the beginning of the video. It turns out that you were in my home town. It reminded me that we need to enjoy where we are. I'm going on a photo trip to the desert this week but could have had as much fun staying home.

nice photos!
btw, this yellow jacket became your trademark. if someone else starts photographing with a jacket like yours -- you can easily sue him, lol

I live in NorCal/Sonoma County coastline and it's ironic that you WANT the fog and cold, but end up with a lovely day! Just made me laugh. So unlike what the general population desires about our landscape. Your insight is SO helpful. Thanks!

I can tell you’re someone who takes content seriously, and that already puts you ahead of a lot of people on this platform. What most viewers don’t see is how much effort goes into each upload behind the scenes.
What I found interesting while watching your videos is that the content itself is solid, but there might be a small disconnect in how quickly the viewer understands why they should keep watching. That first impression matters more than most people think.
Across different niches, I’ve noticed that even strong content can underperform if the opening doesn’t immediately create curiosity or clarity. It’s not about changing your style, just refining how the message is introduced.
I noticed a couple of patterns in your recent uploads that could be limiting how far the videos reach, and the good part is they’re completely fixable.
If you’re interested, I’d be glad to share one observation that could make a noticeable difference.

It’s a great way to slow everything down … it’s a meditation… thank you for the tutorial. Love your content

I liked your explanation of 'why' to do a LE.

Me encanta la foto con la combinación de dos exposiciones en Punta Herminia, al lado de la Torre de Hércules. Felicidades por tu gran trabajo y tu forma especial de hacer fotografía!

I had no idea a polariser would do that for b@w.  Mind blown!

I like your pronunciation. It is an English easy to understand. Nice vídeo.

Thank you Adrian. You best teacher:)

This video did really help me understand long exposures better and I liked your explanation about how you set up your times. I have started to tinker with photography again now that we have retired and I would like to try taking some long exposures over the next year. Thank You for sharing your tips.

Very good Man, as allways

I've been meaning to do more long exposure for a while. A few months back, I even picked up a 10 stop ND on a whim, because I saw it at a great price. But haven't even used it yet. My last long exposure was back at the start of November. Tijme to get out and put that ND to use.

@ 3:42, why not use a lenshood to keep your filters clean?

Okay, I'm adding the ND filters to my camera pack. Now I just need to get out to the coast.

Great video - thanks! What you did not mention but that I have learned elsewhere, is that you need to disable IBIS when doing long exposures...

This is so helpful, maybe the most helpful video you ever made! I never figured out long exposure photography, I have my NISI-filters that I bought when starting out with photography in 2018, but rarely used them. This will change now! I tried to figure out why a 1/15 sec. gives a one minute exposure with a ten stop ND-filter, but gave up and just take it for what it is. I'll just follow your advice, thanks a LOT for finally making long exposure photography understandable for me!

I hope to make some long exposure photography this summer with the grain fields blurred out and with Lake Mjøsa in the background.

For me I decided we'll move to the mountain village of Lom, where I'll live out my life as a hiking photographer, following the advices of Dave Morrow. I plan to make the Tamron 35-100mm F2.8 Di III VXD & Viltrox 14mm F4 Air my lightweight hiking kit.

Lom is one of very few places in Norway which has maintained some character. It is surrounded by national parks and has five of Norway's seven highest peaks. I hope this area together withe the Geiranger Fjord will be spared from wind turbine plants?

Anyway the situation in Norway is really gloomy, so if Donald Trump calls me to come to the USA to help him make America great again, I'll for sure come!

Great shots as ever man! Hey have you ever used portable strobes or powerful speedlights to light up part of a scene at night? I just ordered a little 120w Neewer Q120 and I want to try it - I've never had a flash powerful enough that I could use off-camera before

I thught this "misty sea" water effect and the 9-stop ND filters used to get it was a fad which died out by the 2020s. Guess I was wrong.

I think you need to strategize in having a sandbag with each tripod. Many of your windy locations are at a beach or open landscape where you can add/remove sand or rocks on-location. $70 investment to avoid losing multiple $150 filters.
