圧縮効果で奥行きがギュッと詰まって、普通の広角とは全然違う表情になりますね。

玉ボケ比較の作例では、70mmのほうが口径食が目立ちにくくて好みでした。
たまたまかもしれませんが、スタジャンとカメラリュック、黒いボディに白レンズという組合せがうまくコーディネートされていて、街中でも白レが悪目立ちしないのも印象的でした。
中華街って情報量が多い分、広角だと全部入ってごちゃ混ぜになりがちですが、望遠で要素を取捨選択し、圧縮で関係性を作ると一気に作品になるのがよく伝わってきます。
さらに、絞って「全部見せる」判断と、開放で「主役だけ浮かす」判断が整理されてるのが本当に上手いですね。
70-200mm F2.8 GM II、欲しくなりますね。危険です（笑）
