MK4 has always looked to me like either the simplest of the 2D Midway era or the weirdly most complex one. Thank you for uploading this guide! ❤

While the game looks very silly the fact that this game lets you cancel into special moves pretty much whenever makes landing combos really fun to figure out

Glad to see you making a guide for this! MK4 is very underrated

Never change, Mortal Kombat

All the MK bashers will say that MK4 has no depth just because the strings have the same inputs or the side step not being like a 3D fighting game side steps, but MK4 has all of these unique secret stuff that give it so much depth and intricacies. Such a unique game in an awesome way.

Amazing stuff once again dude, looking forward for the MK2 video.

MK4 has potential to be pretty fun, especially for umk3 players. Hopefully there will be more interest in the game.

wrong Jarek! this is not a brutality, this is a fatality!

I've always loved MK4, probably because it was really my introduction to the series technically (not the first game I played, that was the first MK on MS-DOS), as it was the first one I actually owned, but it wasn't really until I started playing the arcade version play Gold on Fightcade and now the Legacy Kollection that I really started to appreciate the weapons, in fact, I've been enjoying MK4 so much as of late that it has officially surpassed UMK3 and become my favorite game in the series.

I love MK4, I have very fond memories of it and playing against my brother. It is just a fun game and has a lot to offer.

MK4 on PC was the first MK game I owned. I have played this for many ours with my sister and friends. I played previous games in series, but it wasn't the same to me.

THE BLACK DRAGON LIVE ON! (DUN DUN)

Thanks for the tutorial, i didnt know about the instant jump kick tech at all.

Waiting for beginner tutorials on Mythologies and Special Forces hehe

I will always love MK4, warts and all. It's not as good as UMK3 or 3S, but it's a ton of fun if you sit down and learn it.

Can't wait for more mk4 kontent, mate

never played competitively but did play with friends and family when visiting the Dominican Republic on the N64. From what I can remember, we just ran and spam the longest universal combo in between trying to catch eachother off guard with specials. Anyone bringing out their weapon we considered ballsy and called them "pendeho" (wimp). Not that we banned any of the weapons but some weapons were just cheap in our eyes. Like Lui kang's because of the 1 button infinite until max damage

This was the game i got with my ps1 on christmas day so i can never hate it no matter what anyone says about it

Maximum Damage is a broken mechanic.  It doesn't just trigger on actual combos, but rapid sequences of attacks.  Just doing Tanya's drill into split kick into drill into splits kick into a meaty fireball will trigger it despite it not being an actual combo.

In Dreamcast's MK Gold, Baraka was extremely overpowered. His spin had an absurd hitstun, dealt a lot of damage, and was also highly comboable (easily exceeding 60%).

Ive just brought the collection im glad u did this video as mk4 is the only game mk game i have no idea what im doing  😂
