I'm 55 years old, and I've been listening to TOOL for over 30 years—these days, that's all I listen to. Welcome to the TOOL ARMY! Keep it up, my friend

Lateralus comes after Aenima and is also a masterpiece.

Lateralus is their 3rd album. Get ready to be completely blown away. I think of their first 3 albums (Undertow, Aenima, and Lateralus) as a concept trio. Undertow is abuse and addiction. Aenima is dealing with real life, past trauma, and really not liking much of it. Lateralus is overcoming all of it. A spiritual awakening of sorts. To me it’ll always be their magnum opus even if it’s not always my favorite.

That juxtaposition is brilliant because Maynard isn’t forcing a choice between science and spirituality. He’s borrowing the most powerful imagery from both to illuminate the same human behavior.

Nick & Lex are great people. I thoroughly enjoy their reactions.

Spot on with assuming they get more progressive, less metal as they go. But not less heavy. Youll also hear progressive foreshadowing in Undertow.

Been listening since 2000. Luckily I’ve branched out since then, but I’ve pretty much never gotten sick of Tool. They just align with my sense of spirituality.

There's a great live performance of "Sober" at the Reading festival 1994. Its easy to find. I highly recommend it.

Jim Newstead was my favorite youtuber when I discovered TOOL. It was like enjoying and "discussing" new music with a friend.

Welcome to the Tool Army. I see you are also a fan of both Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin...2 of tools biggest inspiration, so it's no wonder you joined the Tool Army. If I may make a suggestion? React to what I think is the best cover of any song ever....No Quarter

TOOL belongs and fits perfectly on that wall with Zeppelin and Floyd

One of my best life experiences was the process of falling in love with this band. Now watching others do the same is as close as I can get to that now. Such fun to witness.
