This is a video of me beating Lucia, the champion CPU on table tennis in Wii Sports Resort. Watch me win with a final score of 6 - 4. It's all about the angle on the dangle when playing her! It also helps to play offensively, trying to keep her off balance. Good luck to your own efforts! ;)

poofesure could never
Another tip: If she's about to beat you reset the match before she does. This will ensure you don't lose your rating and will get to continue to play her. It takes a lot of practice playing against her before you'll finally win.
Absolutely my pleasure. Glad you were able to make it work for you.

@pinkled5 Yeah, for some reason, the higher opponents are not actually better. They just hit the ball really slowly and move really fast so it is much harder to get an opening. Lucia is by far the funnest opponent in the game, and when I play, I just keep choosing "Restart" so I can play her over and over.

I have just beaten Marcia tonight 6-4.
Tips: return the ball as early as possible with lots of spin. This way you get the angles.
If you find yourself having to return later, slice the shot back and you'll gradually move forward toward the table again so you can return early.
Do not slice when you have the chance to smash - you'll no doubt hit the net and it'll bounce out.
Beware - sometimes her returns do not hit the table, but if you return them she gets the point!

The trick is to put top spin on the ball. You do that the same way you would a real ping pong ball, by curving your hand downward and lifting your elbow when you hit the ball (for forehand shots).
