Did you miss last week's episode with Jacob Bertrand (Cobra Kai), Joey (EDHrec) and Quinn (MTG Lexicon)? Watch that Commander game here: https://youtu.be/KU2uGyohC7M

That Spy waited over 30 years in the darkness of that booster surrounded by trash to get its 5 minutes of fame. What a champion. FRAME IT.

Dear diary. Today the Professor showed my Zatalpa art and shouted out my podcast on an episode of Shuffle Up And Play. SKRAWWW!

"Would you fling my own bear at me??"
"NEVER! I WOULD NEVER! I'm gonna thud it at you."
Prof's energy on this one made me laugh so much my lungs hurt

That flashback of Prof playing Triumph was golden. Thank you to whoever added that in

Prof: "Don't worry, we're not playing Oathbreaker"
@RebellLily *whispering*: "Oh, thank god".
That killed me on the spot.

Somewhere in the distance, Vince is very disappointed that Prof didn't take his beloved Helium Squirter

In tonight’s shuffle up & play:

Orcish spycraft brings Rebel an edge in political negotiation
Serge makes it weird for moms everywhere
Rachel continues to be a treasure for mankind and a triumph for the hordes
Prof can’t find his actual Llanowar elves

1:08:37 gotta say, love seeing the judge call. Great to sit at home going "thats now how it works is it?" Then hear the judge come through saving the gameplay (imo)

I love how prof is naming cards from Homelands, not Fallen Empires.

Serge had no reason to let that orcish spy through after getting enchanted lmao. he truly is too nice.

My 62 year old father doesn't understand the game totally he played Yugioh with me as a kid I havent gotten around to teaching him Magic. He said he loved the banter between y'all even not understanding the game so thanks Tolarian College & Professor + Friends. You brought a smile to his face in a difficult time of year for him.

"We shred?" is immediately entering my vocabulary, thank you

Booster Tutor is an instant. Unless you decide you can only cast it as a sorcery / on your turn, you can cast it at the next player's upkeep to prevent you from discarding a card in the first round.

@thomaschoma8914 1 year ago

The making fun of someone's picks during the booster tutor is totally the best part.

@vincentmccue7481 1 year ago

"What are the best cards in Fallen Empires?"

Serge: Creature type that didnt exist

Prof: Two cards from Homelands

This is why I love Magic!
