I feel bad for the kids because it’s not like they don’t have talent, it’s just that they have unreachable expectations.

Ty's story is kinda fucked up. Those adults are an embarrassment

"You’ll never be as good as your dad!"  Yea no one will lmao 😂

Brett Hull was under a lot of pressure growing up.  He said he was actually denied promotions because everyone assumed if he advanced it was only because his father was Bobby Hull.  Brett had to prove himself.  He went on to become one of the greatest goal scorers in NHL history.  He achieved the elite “700 Club”.  A feat not even his father could achieve.

The kids of Patrick Roy are definitely his... 😅

Bro calling Hull's son a nepo baby with a failed career but also mentions numerous times that he CHOSE to only pursue NCAA hockey.

Fun little story that relates. I grew up in Brooklyn NY and played at Chelsea Piers. I was playing when Gretzky signed with the rangers and his son Ty was in my league. My dad worked for the rangers from 95 to this seasons end, he told me that I’d be playing against Wayne’s son. Anyway, my dad has a picture of me on his mantle after I absolutely plastered Ty in the corner. Wayne used to joke with my dad about it. Ended up becoming friendly with Ty after that. Just a fun memory I have.

Lots of players in the NHL scene are nepos, they are just like 4th round 126th picks who never really play and stay in the AHL

Concussions are sometimes a silent demon. Suffered 2 major concussions within a year and half with a 3rd minor one my senior year of high school. My day to day isn’t effect but I have just about zero memories from before my sophomore year. Can’t imagine having 8…

Roy’s kid had the maturity of a 12 year old

So, not really nepo babies then, right? A nepo baby has a career due to their name but if they couldn't hack it talent-wise and didn't have NHL careers then they are just guys who, despite the advantages, didn't make it, just like millions of regular babies.

Jude Hull...a Hull that legally had his feet in the crease 🤣🙃

The Brett Lindros story is painful to hear concussions suck I know the feeling of having them end your career early, I had to medically retire from lacrosse after my senior season of high school and had a scholarship pulled for it. I had probably 15-20 concussions over 4 years from both football and lacrosse and I have some really bad days where I can’t go in to work. I feel for Brett Lindros

Ryan Sittler, the son of Hall of Famer Darryl Sittler. Was drafted 7th overall in the 1992 NHL draft but never played in an NHL.

Landon Ferraro, Dillion Simpson, Keegan Lowe

Roy last name and assault... A match made in heaven

Kudos to Ty for finding his own way to stay in the game, benefiting those around him!

Gretzkys brother too... became a policeman then

Not gonna deny Chris Bourque and to an extent his brother Ryan, had failed NHL careers, but Chris could easily have a case as an AHL Hall of Famer! He had his number retired by the Hershey Bears recently, and you don’t get that honor without being beyond exceptional.
