So you're telling me that I cannot eat my emergency food? 😢

Who is paimon, let paimon tell you.

Paimon: HEY TRAVELLER YOU CANT IGNORE ME, AND IM NOT EMERGENCY FOOD. YAP YAP YAP YAP

ars goetia: paimon is king of demon that leads 200 legion of spirits

genshin: paimon is a flying midget, helium inhaling travel companion that also double as emergency food

I find it hilarious that in Thomas’s Ars Goetia version you have to essentially rage bait the demon into showing up. “Look Paimon! It’s Haziel!” “Where!?” “Hahah jk. Sooo now that you’re here I got something for you to do for me…” “…”

It´s almost like these later writers pulled this all out of their arse goetia

The authors for each demonology book just keep adding their own twist on these mfks 💀💀

I have most of these grimoires. What I got from the testament of Solomon was that you need to invoke the corresponding angel/angel's name with the demon in order to prevent further mischief. Solomon did everything with the help from the higher end of the spectrum to defend himself and to compel the lower end of the spectrum.

The Silent Hill 2 Remake is rife with references to Paimon, including a puzzle that requires you to assemble his insignia. His attributes as a demon fit quite well with what the town is forcing James to come to terms with and I like its inclusion

bro now i’m scared of my own name

Okay, first time viewer...

The phone call won me over already. The "I love you" at the end in particular.

HE IS BACK!!! Honestly got so excited when I saw the thumbnail.  I binge watched the entire channel since I discovered it three weeks ago and was quite sad to see that there were no more recent videos after I finished lol.
I'm so glad to have a new hour of content available!

Fun fact, you can tell when a book is poorly translated and not a good reference because it uses "Jehova" this extends to bibles too. If the main God is not worth their time to get right and they're only following poorly translated footsteps, then so too is any and all info on anything underneath that God.

3:24 yoooo say something before the flashbang dude, i lost 7 of my 8 eyes

1:00:44 I noticed the illustration here has a striking resemblance to the statue the cult members made at the end of the movie. Could just be a coincidence but I see more than a couple similarities

Another happy day of mine. Good to see you again, sadly the Prince of Darkness passed away, but I believe he still rocks while watching your videos. Keep it up !

The Summa Sacre Magice (1346) is probably the earliest source we have for Paymon in grimoires. Here he is the Western king of the seat of Apologia (a name you might recognize from the Goetia’s first conjuration), a Northern domain in Tartarus ruled by Satan. Paymon’s own Tartarean domain is Floriget, the most likely contender for the throne of terrestrial spirits. You can find the translation of the first two books of the SSM from the same scholar practitioner who translated Dr Rudd’s Goetia and Clavis Inferni: the great Dr Stephen Skinner. Great video btw

I like the idea that as you go through history and grimoires change the name of who's king of what it's due to the hierarchy of hell changing from demons and watchers overthrowing and backstabbing each other.

what a great skit to open up the video!

And amazing video after that as well!

Johann Weyer (aka Johannes Wier, presumably his 'real' Dutch name) was such an interesting person. He wrote Pseudomonarchia Daemonum as a response to the publication of Malleus Maleficarum (a book written to garner support on the witch hunts that had not being going too well up until that point). Johannes Wier spoke out strongly the witch hunts: as a doctor he believed the legal and medical grounds on which many women were found to be a witch, were unjust, sexists, and ablist (he did not use these words but that's what it came down to). He essentially called for more mental health awareness, and believed the witch hunts to be cruel.
In the Netherlands there is still an organisation called the Johannes Wier foundation, that aims to help people with their right to health care and be treated fairly despite any possible difficulties.
Anyway, wanted to point that out since I thought he deserved a little shout out
