I wonder how many of these jewels were repurposed from Polish gems when Sweden stole the Polish kings' crown jewels from Poland between 1655 and 1660.

It is wonderful, that their majesties value the past - traditions, memory, remembrances, history, dynastity & continuity, but they must also leave a memory of themselves, partly, in the form of their own formal jewels.

She lost much populairity after WW1 because she was very German minded and wanted her husband Gustav also to be German minded but he refused and choose Scandinavia along with the souvereigns of Denmark and Norwegia.
