Watching a vtuber fall down the car enthusiast/motorsports rabbit hole in real time makes for great entertainment

Rally and Isle of man TT objective:

-go zoom(main quest)
-don't die(optional)

The Isle Of Man TT is the peak of bragging rights. You get to brag to habe competed in it, finished it, and winning it. Three chances to brag. At some point in time, the riders competing just stopped caring about the prize award for winning. They just take part in it because It's that big of a deal.

FUN FACT: The Aussie with the glasses who’s presenting this is Mark Skaife. He’s a V8 supercars legend and he won the Bathurst 1000 in a Skyline GTR R32

There's a story out there that a rider used to brush his helmet along a hedgerow through a corner to use as his marker to know he was on the correct line. Years later he was doing a walk of the circuit and realized what he thought was a hedgerow was actually a thin layer of vines growing on a stone wall.

7:16 As an IRL racer (cars not bikes) my self, I must state that, that man DEFINITELY took the deepest breath of his career before, rethinking how much he'll send it around the track for the rest of that race.

4:14 MURRAY WALKER, WHAT A LEGEND!!! Top Commentator for Formula 1

@daved2352 1 year ago

There's an anecdote from a rider I'm gonna badly relay. He was doing a walk around the track and mentioned a certain corner where to get the best time you have to feel the bushes on that corner scraping your helmet, only on his walk he found out that it turned out to be a stone wall with a think layer of moss that he'd been scraping with his helmet in the race for years.

Also a great quote from Guy Martin about racing the TT was "there's a green blur and a grey blur, I try to stay on the grey one"

4:12 The voice of Motorsport was on a talk show hosted by Neil Morrisey (the voice of Bob the Builder) with Richard Hammond and James May in 2006.

The old man who's been going his whole life is Murray Walker (RIP), one of the most prolific and respected motorsports commentators ever and basically the voice of Formula 1 up until he retired.

I had a friend who I used to work with whose family was from the Isle of Man. His grandparent's front garden has apparently been host to a few riders coming off their bikes over the years, some more lucky than others.

Imagine signing up for a race knowing each year statistically one person will die.

I used to live on the Isle of Mann when I was younger, it’s the only time I’ve seen someone hit a wall at 175mph that sound still haunts me..they let it shut off the Isle of Mann for the full week while the race is going on and all the week before they let normal people try the course that’s where a lot of deaths happen
