at first i wasnt sure, but then i saw how small the machines were and fell in love, normally games have huge machines but this the machines fit on tables and it looks so fun and i love the idea!

For anyone who does not know. The shop wants all currently researched items(or the "customers" do). And any item you do not sell is potential reputation loss. Anytime a customer comes in and there's not enough of something you can make, or none at all, any single fault will cause a reputation drop. So selling only the more valuable items loses you a lot of money.

If i'm not mistaken, you can use catapult to feed wood cutter and stone crusher, so you don't have to spend tons of money filling belts with raw materials.

The first time I saw the animation for "shelving items" was in that TCG Shop Simulator and I LOVED how satisfying that "shelving" feeling was. Then I saw many Shop Simulator clones and once I realized they were just reskins and reapplications, I was slightly disappointed because it lacked uniqueness. Seeing that shop simulation skin wrapped with a factory game is perfect. We can get that satisfying shop feeling while also getting a factory feeling, and it adds an extra layer of mechanics - factorygoers need twenty times more mechanics!

I was just playing this today, after seeing it on your channel before. If you skipped the tutorial like I did you might not have noticed but when you upgrade to the builder tool 2 at the workbench, it adds some recipes to the build menu for full floors and walls. You can then actually remove the existing shop walls, add another floor, expand the main floor, etc. NPCs will buy from shelves on the first floor that they can path to, so you can actually expand the shopping area and make it easier to deliver items to the shelves.

Should utilise catapults and hoppers more to move items around the factory, save space and conveyor belts!

18:00 Orbital, my man. When you pull up the screen for the processor, it shows you how many it makes!

5 large gears per minute input, 15 shall gears per minute to output!

Wanted you to catapult the money over the door along the wall and use the wall conveyors to go to you portals, you played with every component to make it, then proceeded to belt it allllll the way around. Haha love the chaos. Great video, keep em comin!

You could have just left the shelf under the windwo to save space and move the catapults to the table the product was actually on and not built that random table under the window...

The automatic purchasing was really costly. It will keep buying until every conveyor tile holds a full raw resource, e.g. a log per tile (cost 100) or stone per tile (600) - it really adds up. Best to go from portal directly into a processor so that you have a natural bottleneck.

Don't forget that you can get more heat value from your wood if you turn it into charcoal powder.

33:45 You might work it out later in the video, but hearing you talk about ratios and how many seconds each cycle takes makes me want to point at the screen and refer to the X/min stat for both inputs and outputs. Matching those will be your simple way of optimising throughput, without worrying about how long each one takes or what your ratios are per unit.

this dev and the Mine Mogul dev need to work together on crossover DLC for mineable alchemical ingredients and a multiplayer mod where one person can mine and ship their ingredients to the alchemy shop
