Riding out to one of the most notorious, haunted roads in Northern Ireland: the Windyhill Road, historically known as the "Murder Hole Road." 🛣️👻
Back in the 18th century, this lonely stretch of mountain road between Limavady and Coleraine was terrorized by an infamous, cold-blooded highwayman named Patrick "Cushy" Glen. Alongside his wife Kitty.
Cushy would hide behind the grassy banks, ambush passing travelers, slit their throats, and dump their bodies into a roadside hollow known as the Murder Hole.
His reign of terror finally ended when he tried to rob the wrong man and was shot dead—becoming one of the last highwaymen killed on Irish soil. Today, locals say his restless spirit still haunts the road, causing electronics to fail and terrifying drivers in the dead of night.
Im taking the bike out to brave the sweeping curves, check out the eerie Maurice Harron statue of Cushy lurking in the trees, and see if we can catch any paranormal activity on camera.
