Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to watch, comment and share the film. We made this back in 2024, shooting over just four days in Tenerife with a budget of less than £2,000.

We worked incredibly hard to make this film, so it means a lot to see it finally getting some of the recognition and awareness we always hoped it would. We learnt so much from the process, and I couldn’t have asked for a better pair of actors in Nicholas and Marco, or a more dedicated crew of just three people.

🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨

Alex, struggling with his sexuality, identity and family life, travels alone to Tenerife, where he meets Marco, a carefree and confident French tourist who seems to embody everything Alex wishes he could be. As their relationship develops throughout the week, their communication becomes easier, with Marco’s French gradually giving way to English — reflecting Alex’s own thoughts becoming clearer and his growing acceptance of himself. Marco is ultimately a representation of the person Alex wants to become: comfortable, confident and free.

*Spoiler:* The ending reveals that Marco and the events of the week were all part of Alex’s imagination — a glimpse of what could have happened if he had continued the conversation when Marco first approached him on the beach. After speaking to his mum and reflecting on his life, Alex returns to his towel and sees Marco in the distance, finally understanding what he wants. The film explores the idea of the life we imagine for ourselves before we are brave enough to live it.

Why ,did it take the algorithm so long to bring this mini masterpiece to my attention.  I LOVED IT.

This can happen on vacation.  Fantasy blends with reality.

Marco was a part of Alex, a piece of himself that was projected, so he can let himself forgive and be happy again. Once he reconciled with his family, with himself and felt happy again, the projection disappeared.

i never could read a book in that position--too painful.
