This ESP George Lynch guitar wasn't staying in tune. After some careful investigation it was discovered the Floyd Rose saddles were damaged. Replacing the low quality cast zinc parts with higher quality milled steel fixed the tuning stability issues - allowing the guitar to perform at its best once again.

As the owner of this guitar, I just want to thank you once again for restoring it to a playable state for me.

As Colin mentioned, I inherited this guitar under tragic circumstances - it was gifted to me by the parents of a friend who took his own life and as a result, it's a very sentimental instrument for me - something to never be sold, and a lasting physical token of the connection to my departed friend, who, by the way, was an absolute MONSTER guitarist.

These guitars 100% come with Original Floyds, the saddles were replaced by cheapos at some point. Great videos, love 90's ESPs!

I love the “Axe from the Grave” series. It reminds me of its predecessor the “Will it Shred?” series with that red guitar back when your channel was still CS guitars!

That's proper due diligence to check the headstock repair. The drummer i played with long ago had a Zildjian Rocktagon that he seldom used but I loved (it had a thick frequency range), so i got in the habit of smacking it to accent his crashes with the headstock of my trusty Kramer Focus when my perceived necessity arose. On the last such occurrence, I caught it a little too deep to the bell and it snapped off in almost the exact same spot as on the ESP. After making do with duct tape until I could afford having it repaired, the guy who fixed it explained how he drilled, doweled and glued it and three and a half decades on it's still rock solid. A flat glue job would likely not have held up, and potentially made a second repair more costly

I still remember watching the Too Afraid to Ask series and the logo that used to be a sci-fi robot helmet. You have always done fine work and offered expert comments in your craft. Someone's been medling with this thing before it fell into your hands. Not saying it was the current owner, or the person before that, or even the person before that. But somewhere along the line, this Floyds been messed with. There's no way an ESP custom would have zinc saddle blocks (unless George uses them for the "tone"? then maybe?), it would have an OFR for sure.

Regarding the washers: a lot of Floyd parts are just off the shelf standard stuff, like the Allen bolts (I bought a bunch of the bolts for the locking nut in bulk, they're M3 usually). The nylon washer is almost certainly a standard size and buying a pack might be worth it.
