"Marvel and DC have absurd writing"
Meanwhile, mythology: "Hera's breast milk created the galaxy"

@andrethemusicalwizard1784 1 year ago

Atreus: "Did we.. Defeat him?"
Kratos: "No son that was a clone made from his ass hair"

Just to clearify. Wukong’s final “god” form is literally name “the Buddha who wins every battle” this wasn’t a fight. This is a one sided slaughter.

Oh look, a Death Battle where Goku beats Superman.

I think we can all agree that Sun Wukong got this. I mean unless Hercules has a way to get rid of all of Sun's immortality he'll just run out of fuel

@manic_8620 3 years ago

Heracles: "A great and mighty hero with an inspiring backstory."

Sun Wukong: "Built Different"

Spoilers but The fact that Monkey King has Over 9000+ levels of Immortality in a "Death Battle" had me wondering how this would reasonably go
& I'm not surprised lmaooo

I just realized: The whole fight started over a golden apple. In Greek mythology, Eris, the goddess of discord, once dropped a golden apple into a banquet in order to get three goddesses to fight over it, which is where the term "Apple of Discord" comes from.

Hercules was strong, but when you have a character based Taoism, Daoism, and Buddhism where stacking immortality is the least craziest or esoteric thing, you're on a whole different level of the divine.

This is the most unfair episode ever. In a series called “death battle” they have Sun Wukong… an immortal being who fought the heavens and COULD NOT DIE vs Hercules a mf who died.

@raibyo 3 years ago

Heracles: "I died and became a god and become immortal"
Wukong: "You had to die to gain immortality? I gained it so many times and didn't die once."

@WomanSlayer69420 2 years ago

Wukong didn’t even have to use the immobilization spell. Heracles being able to move is already proof that Wukong was just trolling him the entire fight.

I love that the Monkey King's voice is so much younger than Hercules which shows their characters, even though Sun is much older

@chefcook9030 4 years ago

Heracles: Died in his lore
Sun Wukong: Attained 10,000 layers of immortality in his lore
...Yeah I think I know how this one ends. 😊

@Mr_Wholegrain 3 years ago

Wukong: "How many layers of immortality are you on?"
Heracles: "Like one right now, my dude."
Wukong: "You are like little baby. Watch this."

@McDanklestank 1 year ago

16:12 each clone was said to be just as powerful and immortal as the real wukong. They gave Hercules a handicap by reducing them to naruto grade shadow clones lmao

@eduardosandoval5974 4 years ago (edited)

Thor: "Always aim for the head"
Hercules: Aimed for head
Sun Wukong: doesn't die
Hercules: Visible confusion

Edit: thank you all so much for 2k likes. I never knew I'd get this many

Ok, whoever had the idea of doing a myth battle needs a raise, this was such a cool episode and there's so much potential for more matchups like these in the future.

"And like most ancient Greek stories it began with Zeus being a total creep"

This is sadly way too accurate. This... Isn't even close to the creepiest thing Zeus ever did.
