Mets'd Up Podcast

Our annual look at the roster and trying to figure out who won't be back next season. Even after the trade deadline purge, this roster still has a bit too much dead weight and it's fair to expect some potentially big changes. Also, some updated thoughts on Bo Bichette's opt-out situation.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Bo back assuming he gets back closer to what he was before

Never want to see Vientos in a Mets uniform again.

I have to say. Bo was a below average hitter this year who played below average defence. The idea you guys didn’t think Bo would be back is lunacy. If he played the market he wouldn’t make anywhere near as much as he would opting in with Mets

Bo is great and I want him here for years to come

Ha ha I told you guys Bichette would opt in. His comments make so much sense. He has that MLB pedigree, it’s in his blood. He wants a higher challenge and he wants to do better than his old man. Which he’s already done monetarily, so now he has his sights turned on winning a ring at the highest level of the highest level. Every winning team needs at least one guy whose dad played not just professional ball, but MLB ball. I will be very glad to see him back at 3rd base, he fits in well with this team and he will have a better season next year.

@Ryancamron3342 3 days ago

I hope bo opts in

@joelliebler5690 4 days ago

Maybe the Mets could use Nanea as a long relief and occasional spot start

James needs to give us his top 6 Strokes albums in order to compare it to Foolish's and Spencer Strider's

Definitely think the Mets should see Rojas play in mlb. Could be a great dude to play 3rd 2nd or even ss.

@clasherv25 4 days ago

Why not rock with Rojas and Voit in infield?

@BlueJimmie48Fan 4 days ago

No one else is going to take on Bo’s $42M. I think he’s opting in.

Semien, Vientos, Mauricio, Williams Polanco are the top 5 I want gone

@thinkforyourself5672 4 days ago

Really pissed off that they let Holmes go. They should have done everything they could have to keep him / Sign an extension. Mclean, Scott and Holmes is a solid starting point for their Rotation.

@Akalcy 3 days ago

Jorge Polanco needs to be dfa'd and ryan clifford needs to be thrown in the deep end and given 600 at bats next year as the starting 1B for the mets 100%

@stevesmindcarnival673 2 days ago

If Bichette opts in, release Semien (just eat the last 2 years), move Bichette to 2b, then either get a new 3b (Sato), or let Brett Baty keep it warm until (hopefully) Jefferson Rojas is ready?
