Stupid and unnecessary to enter a fire room without protective equipment.
But the main thing is that I'm an extremely tough and casual cowboy 😎

Takes two steps inside the door and starts hacking up a lung. That bottle on your back contains breathable air. Breathing in toxic air plastics other unknowns etc.. is really good for the lungs.

You know it's the New York Fire Department when five guys are standing there with tear hooks and the breathing apparatus is just being lugged around for decoration...

Finally a real pre arrival  job. Not like that other guy. Great vid.

Anyone else see the sly hand exchange take place at about 2:25, in front of the dumpster, lmao!!!

I can't believe the people that just stand in the way on the FDNY.

We had a guy put to many quarters in his dryer full of clothes here over 15 years ago & it caused a big fire in our laundromat & he left his clothes without being there  they got to hot & combusted !  😢

Just absolutely Crazy to enter the Structure with smoke showing without already wearing SCBA. You have no idea what is burning. Very very poor.

Dang caught the arrival! Good job

Pre arrival that sounded like a real Q siren, not the fake electronic ones. Didn't know they had any real Q sirens. I didn't mask up for a drier fire (once!), and I had to tuck my tail between my legs, and go back for my air pack. I didn't make that mistake again. Anything beyond unattended cooking, I always breathed air, it is free, so I used it.

Had something like that happen in our area some years ago. Neighboring department had a call for a dryer fire at the laundry mat and being we were mutual aide get there smoke conditions like this. Push comes to shove was a butane lighter we think inside the dryer that you know exploded and started the fire.

If only we had equipment to enable us to breathe in toxic smoke??🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Gotta luv the FDNY and there way of waiting to put water to hurry and knock a fire down 🤦🏾‍♂️

Well done fdny you are all such great people super organized and getting the job done take it easy

FDNY...The G.O.A.T. 4-EVER ❤️👍👍👍👍

My father owned a laundromat and I worked there.  Know what terrified me?  The very large natural gas water heaters.  There were 3 of them and I always worried what would happen if one of them malfunctioned.  Would the building explode, killing everyone inside?  The water they heated, fed into an always extremely hot metal tank than held probably 1000 gallons on super-heated water.   Nothing every happened, fortunately.  I'm sure these firefighters know to cut the gas supply first thing or get the company to do it.  Would be great to see in the video description, what the suspected cause of the fire was from the initial size-up/360.

FDNY and their safety procedures🤦‍♂️

They were ready to go axe up the wrong address.

Both trucks spot on

they never know until they tear thing apart. This could have gone up the walls .
