The Road by Cormac McCarthy - a timely reminder to ' carry the fire ' of kindness during these anxious times.

His voice is so soft and comforting, but not quite the type to make you fall asleep, but the kind that compels you and draws you in to listen what he has to say. What a great man. Mysterious as fuck and in touch with who he is and the world around him. And a very literate man. He knows over 5 or 6 languages.

This just makes you love Viggo more and more....he is so caring, understandable and in touch with what surrounds him....he is by far one of the best person/actor we have today...there are many that should/need to take lessons from him.....

This must be one of the most interesting actors around.

And he still drinks mate :)

I would pay a million dollars to hear him read the entire book.  Someone make it happen.. please?

Can we please get a version of audio book where Viggo Mortensen reads us The Road?

Oh to be asked by Viggo if he can read you something... What a treasure. 🙏🕊️

they way he speaks is so romantic!!!

Gosh, I'm always so impressed with Viggo's intelligence and sensitivity when I see him in interviews.  Thanks so much for posting this.  I will check out the movie.

The best interview with an actor I've ever seen.

The road is so disturbing but still so beautiful... I have a son and man I would give my life for him.

Many ladies go crazy for Depp..mine will forever remain this enigmatic man that is Viggo Mortensen. I may be way too young for him but I sure hope of having someone like him

This book is really transcendentally beautiful! The way Viggo read this novel is by far the most beautiful interpretation of how something should sound that I have ever heard! Get him to read the whole novel for an audiobook PLEASE!

This man is amazingly talented. And he is just beautiful inside and out. The more I learn about him the more I respect him. Viggo you are FANTAZMAGORICAL! :)

Beautiful moment, beautiful person, incredible book, inspired film, great musical score by an other wonderful artist.

There is hope.

One tiny light burning bright in the cup of our hands.

Thanks for uploading this precious little gem.
Just a moment in time.

A blessed moment.

Viggo was made for the role as "The Man" after seeing the movie, its almost a fact that NO ONE else could have played the role as good as he did.
He was the PERFECT choice...as if the novel was written for him lol.
Excellent movie, so good that i feel embarassed for not buying the book yet. im scared to know how much ill love it.

Portraying a common emotion like paternal love and devotion, even under uncommon circumstances, in a unique but completely relatable way seems like it'd be tough. Viggo Mortenson pulls it off really well.

Very good interview. Very short though, but very intimate. Quite revealing. THE ROAD was, for me, one of the best movies I've seen. It really does show how frail life is. How we take everything for granted and then when it all collapses we're eating breadcrumbs off of table tops. It shocked me: No plant life. No birds, no instects. Beached whale skeletons on the shores. Everything was gone. People lived like Homeless people in a post-apocolyptic world. It was a very disturbing and sad movie.

Watching it a second time was heart-wrenching. He was perfect for the role

watching this interview gave the book so much more meaning, just viggo explaining what he thinks casts a new light on story.
