An issue with sound this evening as one of us may have forgotten to turn on her microphone 😁Ive done the best I can to try and level out the audio picked up through the single microphone and wanted to share this either way as its still our first time reaction to this game -and it was a belter of a game! Well played to both teams!

What fixtures next weekend do you think are worth keeping an eye on? Any strong rivalries we need to be aware of?

Is this a rivalry game, you ask? Depends on who you ask. I'm sure it's big for Mississippi State fans, but it probably doesn't even register with Alabama fans. In the US, Alabama is universally considered college football's all time greatest program. By any measure, Alabama has achieved the most success. Naturally, everyone circles Alabama on their schedules each year while Alabama only circles the postseason games on their schedules each year.

Every team they play tends to make the Alabama game into their Super Bowl. It's unavoidable.

The last time Mississippi State won a football game against Alabama was 2007. That’s 19 years ago. The tide keeps rolling here.

Their smiles throughout the entire reaction is everything

The most hated rivalry is between Alabama and Auburn. It’s played on November 28 and it’s called the Iron Bowl.

The monster college game next weekend on Sat Oct 10 is Georgia at Alabama. UCLA at Oregon could be fun to watch due to the high action styles.

The SEC is known for two things. Speed and really hard hits.

One thing many foreigners don't understand is that "highlights" only show exciting or important plays in a game. Highlights do not portray the deep, in-depth strategy that the offenses and defenses use on every play to outsmart each other during an American football game.
...Yes. Mississippi State University fans have a tradition of shaking "cowbells" in the stadium to make a loud noise.
...We also find it strange that British people call the Earth's surface outdoors the "floor". We only call "indoor" surfaces the floor. In America, we call any outdoor surface the "ground".

The Alabama QB, Russell, is projected to be an NFL #1 pick in two more yrs.

the penalty on the Alabama offense 2 players went in motion at the same time and neither never reset, meaning never stood still where they moved to before the ball was snapped

Alabama vs Georgia this Saturday. That’s a big rivalry each year

MSU’s tradition is ringing of cowbells. The fans ring them after most plays. It’s one of the many traditions that most all schools have.

Alabama vs Mississippi State rivalry is a historic SEC series known as the Battle for Highway 82.
The two campuses are located just 90 miles apart along U.S. Route 82.
Both schools are founding members of the SEC, and they have been playing each other since 1896.
They have met over 108 times, with Alabama holding a dominant all-time lead.

Alabama has beaten MSU 17 straight . MSU just had a great young quarterback, but Alabama’s qb is the best I’ve seen in college.

@Omega_Effect1ve 22 hours ago (edited)

Under no circumstances whatsoever, regardless of the alternate universe you find, will Alabama evvvver be the underdog to Mississippi State!

@nickhayes1626 8 hours ago

Alabama is very rarely the underdog in any situation. They may be evenly matched, but even when they're having a bad year they will almost always be competitive.
