In this update, we review reports on Operation Fajr Yemen and developments on the Taiz, Dhabab and Bab al-Mandab fronts; from the Ansarullah counterattack and the PLC forces’ retreat to the formation of two encirclement pockets around Taiz.

We also discuss the use of reconnaissance drones to direct ballistic missile fire, the report of the killing of a Pakistani advisor, and the possible role of Pakistani air support. China’s possible role in empowering Ansarullah is an analytical assessment and should not be considered definitive news.

In the regional section, we discuss the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, reports about RAF Fairford in the UK, and the possibility of escalating tensions between Iran and Israel.

At War Studies, we do not support any of the parties involved; we examine wars and military and strategic developments solely as a subject for analysis and study, and we condemn any war and violence against humans.
