I thought the video was about 90% done cause of the sheer amount of highlights, but I was only halfway through. This man is single-handedly getting people like me into baseball.

Let's face it, old heads wanted him to fail.

Ruth wasn’t hitting 100+ mph balls, they were literally just serving him the balls on a silver platter.

I remember when many people said Ohtani chose the Angels because he can’t handle the bright light…then he chose Hollywood and won 2 trophies in his first 2 seasons as a Dodger. He lives to prove every one who doubted him wrong 😂

Goes from 6 seasons with the Angels not making the post season to 2 WS rings in 2 with the Dodgers. His decision making for his career as well as what he does on the field...the GOAT; never been a player like him, and we'll probably never see his like again. Although...how many young players, that can hit as well as pitch will try to do both given his example.
Inspirational, generational talent, a unicorn.

He IS the natural. Best baseball player of all time. No contest. No one has ever come close to what he's capable of. Utterly amazing. And he did something I thought was impossible: he made baseball interesting and even fun again.

I'm from Indonesia, where the people aren't very familiar with this sport. But because of this man, I finally started following, liking, and ultimately loving this sport.

This dude is a complete freak of nature and will easily go down amongst the very best to ever play the game. Not to mention, he's also one of the nicest guys on the planet.

I see so many people on here and other social media platforms hating on Ohtani with dumb comments like he’s just a DH ! I think to myself, do they watch baseball they don’t know how good of a pitcher he is !! When he started the 50-50 club. I can’t tell you how many people were saying he did it because he’s a DH. He doesn’t play the field.. I asked anyone that made that comment why since 1973 with over 1000 DHS hasn’t anyone else done it ??? Since you make it like it’s so easy. These people should be sitting back and not missing a start when he’s on the mound !! Being a dodger fan, I don’t miss an inning or a pitch, but even when he was on the angels, I told my nephews, you better watch this guy we’re never gonna see another one like him, because we have never seen anyone like him before not even close.! a once in a forever player ! I watch everybody say a judge is better, and I will give Judge an edge as far as hitting. He’s a Righty he faces a lot more right handed Pitching. There’s only one problem I Aaron Judge as great as he is. I checked his stats. He doesn’t have a 42-22 career record, he hasn’t pitched 570 innings with 735 strikeouts. Yeah, one more thing he doesn’t have a career ERA of 2.83.. it’s unfair to compare anyone to Ohtani because there is no one like him. I don’t care who you compare him to !! There is Ohtani and then there is everybody else !! simple as that.!!!

Shohei based his desire to pitch and hit on the character Goro from the manga Major who does both.

Not only has Shohei achieved that goal, he’s surpassed Goro. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Love watching this dude play. He's very polite, respectful, sportsman, seems down to earth, hell of an athlete. So many people wanted to see him fail and still so many people don't like him. What is there to not like? He is a genuine guy who loves playing baseball.
