I know that it says Ardfen Sul at Chapter VII. I simply cannot be bothered to edit it out of this video after fully processing and uploading a 1:41:00 long video.

Shadow Hide You,

- Dareloth :_DarelothCowl::_DarelothPelinal:

I'm part of UESP, it was beyond cool to see you in the discord. I'm so excited to finally see this video. Thank you!!

Dare I say....dear Mr. Dareloth, that you're starting to sound

Just a teeny

Teeeeeny tiny bit

.....mad?

It's interesting how you can almost make a Warrior/ Mage/ Thief triumvirate here,  with Arden Sul being the Mage,  Jyggalag being the Warrior,  and Sheogorath being the Thief.

Instructions clear: I will take everything you say into my Arden-soul

almost made a massive idiot of myself commenting something like “wtf are you talking about. everyone knows he was Nerevar’s shield companion who later lived with the ashlanders.”

Alandro. That was Alandro Sul.

"I've spent decades researching Arden-Sul and have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as Arden-Sul."

Arden Sul is the entrails we skipped with along the way.

The more I (think that I) understand Elder Scrolls lore the more I realize its just different variations of Anu v Padomay all the way down.

"Thank you elf that I keep in my closet" took me out bruh

That Mankar Camoran impression was on point, damn

This kind of Elder Scrolls content is honestly what I live for. I basically grew up on TES lore discussions and analysis, and this community remaining so strong after almost 15 years without a new game has really shown how special this universe is.

Sheo showing up in the Mantellan Crux at the end of Daggerfall always felt interesting to me, and it’s tangentially related to this at best, but him being able to manifest in such an aedric place speaks to the true power of madness as a dominion. I feel like Molag Bal or Dagon wouldn’t be able to influence the mantella or atherius, but the nature of Talos’ composition as three souls combined (and taking into account the theory of Talos mantling Lorkhan) points to an internal turmoil within Talos that is reminiscent of Jyggalag and Sheo existing within each other. Maybe the Hijalti/Zurin/Wulfarth trichotomy creating an unstable god increases the madness of the divines in general, and that’s why Sheo was there as the Agent harkened in the unification of the Talos oversoul. Alternatively, the reactivation of the numidium breaking the dragon reminds me of Sithis’ position in contrast to Anu. The time god’s insanity is symbolic of the influence of chaos over  universal stability, and Sheo being present for that makes a lot of sense to me, because he himself is the chaos that that overcame Jyggalag’s stability.

Man, Elder Scrolls lore is just amazing, and you do an excellent job presenting it. I especially appreciate your point about Sheogorath being structured chaos and Jyggalag maddened order.

He’s clearly the Arden Sul of the Shivering Isles.

Jokes aside, I’d like to point out that people we consider “crazy” also always have a reason for doing what they do. They simply are not responding to the “rules” that most of us call reality. Their reality dictates different rules which logically lead them to different conclusions. Their reasons seem nonsensical to us but they’re very real and obvious to them. Madness isn’t lack of rules, just different rules.

I physically gasped the moment you mentioned the Golden Saint/Eagle and Dark Seducer/Snake imagery. Shivering Isles was a veritable wellspring of deep lore connections that went right over my head, wtf

In an hour and a half, Arden-Sul went from a name I only vaguely remembered hearing to an integral pillar of my understanding of Sheogorath and now a part of my TES TTRPG campaign, of which Uncle Sheo is a major player. All your Sheogorath videos have been fantastic for that. From nailing down his character to inspirations for abilities and boons. I used your 5e Warlock ideas reworked for the system we're in, and my players LOVE to summon Haskil and ask him as many questions in that minute as they can. He's a surprisingly fun NPC to play. Love every time you upload.

Still praying for that Vivec video to finish the trio (>.>)

I'm at the part where you talk about Dovahzul and names, and I would like to point out that JAAG - AAR - THAARN seems to be a coherent Dovahzul name as well, where only JAAG seems to not have a known definition. My gut says JAAG could mean 'Order,' where AAR is servant/slave and THAARN is Obedience.

I've as of yet been unable to do anything with that thought, but it's certainly interesting.

It might've been a throwaway line, but when Sheogorath talks about his previous Greymarch-stopping ideas, he mentions clouds tasting of butters... and tears!

What is important to realize is that Arden Sul is an anagram of both LARDEN US and LAD NURSE.  He is the path of the Big Chungus or, as the mer demure, the ABSOLUTE UNIT, the eighth esoteric waddling way also known as the Muckbang in the now sunken halls of Yokuda.  Sheo is the great feeder, swelling the Shezzarine with CHEESE FOR EVERYONE, the forgotten blasphemy of gluttonous ecstasy so that he might turgidly expand and merge with Auribus, becoming simultaneously indifferent to and  indifferentiable from it

A fun fact you might enjoy to know is that time is dependent on the inevitable progress of entropy.

Entropy - the energy which manifests in existence collapsing into its most statistically probable outcome - stops natural processes from being perfectly reversible. It's the non-reversibility of events that makes time move linearly forward. It's the impossibility of going back.
