I made a needle case for my Log Cabin Patrons. There is a free download on my Patreon channel that you are welcome to use.

If you make one, please tag me on instagram #kateatthelasthomelyhouse is where you'll find me. I'd love to see all the variations you make!

In other news, the winding down of my online shop continues and you can find some lovely items at really great prices here

I am sad that my shop is closing, but all the signs were pointing to it happening. The way the global postal service is going means it is almost impossible to comply with the regulations to the EU and tariffs to the US and I know that very many small businesses are in the same situation. I hope to be able to offer my lovely ideas for sale at some time in the future but for now, we'll be taking a pause. We have until the end of September. (2026 if you are watching this in the future!) so if you have ever wanted to buy something from The Last Homely House, now is your chance! There are some of the lovely EPP kits I have designed still for sale!

Thank you for your support of my little online business - it really means so much that you are here! I'll pass these chocolate chip shortbreads down The Lime Green Sofa - perfect with a cup of tea!
And I'll see you soon with some more Last Homely House fun!

Take care,
Love,
Kate

You're so kind Kate. Thank you for the one you've already sent to me. I will surely embroider it up and let you see what I've done with it eventually!

In America we too grieve the shipping prices and tariffs for small businesses around the world. May the Lord bring new adventures into you and your family's lives that give you joy! Much love to all of you.

Thank you, Kate, for your kindness in sharing the needle case pattern. So many YouTubers I watch are in the same position and this is madness. I hope things change around because it affects so many good content creators and their viability like you. The world has been a better place because of your kindness and love of creating. Thank you. ❤

I discovered you and your wonderful "world" earlier this month, August 2026, and hopefully in spite of all the changes, you will still be here with your Youtube channel and your Patreon groups....We need you in this crazy world !!
As an American, I am so sorry for all the toxic stuff we are adding to the mess....but this too shall pass, and the sun WILL shine again, soon. You are loved and appreciated by SO MANY out here on both sides of the LGS and we will support you however we can. Meanwhile we will all Keep Calm and Carry On....right ?

I don’t have words to express how much you and your family mean to me, Kate. As a young quilter, I feel like an adopted granddaughter on the lime green sofa. So sad the shop is closing, but whatever is best for you is the best possible outcome💖! Maybe a print-on-demand shop later on would be a good fit? But for now, I know we’re all just so grateful for every video you post! Hope you have a truly wonderful day!!

Kate you seemed a little sad today. Never fear better days will come and we are all rooting for you. ❤ from South Africa.

Oh my. You are so right about going forward. Please don’t stop your you tube channel. I would just panic. You and your cat are the best. May god bless you.

Kate, i found you at the beginning of Covid, and Thank Goodness I did. I don't know how I would have gotten through Covid without you and Anna. I've been on the Lime Green Sofa ever since. Whatever comes your way in the future, buona fortuna to you, Anna and Rita. I'll be here watching.

Thank you for being you, and being so willing to share your life with all of us. You are a constant reminder to look for the good in every day, and
when life throws a monkey wrench just Get out of your head and into your hands.

Thank you Kate for your kind way of responding to all the changes. You are acting calm and thoughtfull. I enjoying the time on your lime green sofa every second of it. First thing tomorrow will be sewing a needlecase. What a great idea! All the best to you and your loved ones. Carina

your reasonings are completely fair. having a shop can be difficult with the current and future world events.
digital items are always a option for patreons.

Kate, thank you for the past . years of YouTube videos. I do enjoy seeing you and Anna and the joy with which you greet each day. And what a lovely gift you’ve given us today. I think I’ll make one up for a very good friend. Have a lovely day, enjoy it with kindness and laughter.

You deserve more time for creating and enjoying your space. Elimination of the pressure of the shop is a great idea. As the way of the bees and chickens....it's all good!
