Hello and great tutorial. One thing to note is the rubble is a ground texture, so you can clear that out by switching to the ground texture blocks and just right click on the areas you are wanted to remove rubble. You will still need to use regular blocks to fix the decayed building pieces if you do not have the decay tool yet. The decay tool, once acquired, will allow you to right click and repair the broken building pieces. I am currently working on a rebuild/re-imagining to Long Keep and have been having a lot of fun with it.

Thanks for the video. Imho a much better (and faster) way to remove the rubble is using the terrain-section (the most bottom one) of the building hammer with a form of your likings and right-clicking, where the rubble is. That way you won't loose any building structure, that is originally there and don't have to rebuild all that.
Try it, it save a lot of time and hassle. ;)

Using a smaller 2 by 2 slab would consume less materials since the foundations dig a big hole for you to fill. It also lets you work a lot closer to the original design rather than removing a lot of material and trying to rebuild it the same from memory
If you've gotten the collector NPC from the Springlands Hollow Halls, you can build a decay tool to damage blocks or undamage them. This is a much faster way to repair damaged stuff since you'll only have to do spot replacements.

One of the best places to rebuild in the early game is Harvest Homestead. It's a very large structure that can be reached with a starter character and almost no combat. (if you know where it is) It can be patched up with early game materials like shroud wood and rough stone until you unlock the proper materials and has a LOT of room for NPC's and their equipment and a well to refill your water skin and nearby plants that will respawn. .

It would be nice if the developer would provide images of these places when they were thriving and whole. I think as a goal we're trying to rebuild this world back to what it was before the Shroud and that would be really helpful.

I use the decay tool on the messed up cracked parts. It cleans them right up so you don't have to remove them and use up your blocks.

Excellent video... I rebuilt this whole castle... interesting thing ... behind the building your fixing is the dirt hill you walk up, if you dig it out all the way across the back there is a complete structure floor that stretches across between both buildings, just add steps and there you are. Finding this was a total accident. Good building to you all...

I would use flooring block and gain a basement and spare blocks, be nice if the bridge was rebuilt it looks like it could be hollow, why is it, the first place a woman wants to show you is her bedroom, I have a base there just live in the pig shed and use the fields.
