Rip us blue collar folks affording to go to games

Whether McDavid stays or goes his next contract is going to be massive.

Those ticket prices are about to get ten feet taller

There really isn't a better hockey channel on YouTube than HP. Keep up the great work Anthony!! 👍👍

Ottawa is going to be hurt by this... feels like the Senators can't catch a break.

Hagel on a 6.5m through 2031 is a nutty deal too

that thumbnail is brutal

Sad news, big names getting those 40M a year contracts soon while the bottom and middle six gets more or less the same as today.

Moneypuck is about to have a whole new meaning

As a flames fan we should increase Huberdeau to 18m a year

Can't wait for the 65.00 beers and 75.00 nachos.

We're going to see a lot of bad contracts given out to young players. A lot of hope coming out of ink pens.

There's gonna be a few players that stick out and makes me wonder, do they sign 1 more year and wait for cap to increase and then nuke the team that wants them in to a contract. Looking at you Davo and Robo. I can see McJesus snagging 25 mil aav

Flames benefit the most. Huberdeau’s contact looks normal now.

It does feel to me like if you request a trade you should have to waive your no movement clause. The spirit of a nmc is that the player is sticking with a franchise for the long haul and it protects them from getting traded and having to uproot their family. I like that usage of it, but using it as leverage is bad for the league.

Can we get a prayer for the flyers 💔

You know what's funny. The first thing that comes to mind when I think "absurdly overpaid" I think of Chandler Stephenson. Not one of the big ticket guys but still one of those contracts where everyone was like "wtf is that money". Are we really getting to a place where that deal as it ages is going to end up being an underpayment? WHAT WORLD IS THIS AND MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

Stankoven had 21 goals last year. Yes he exploded in the playoffs but he's on pace for another 21 goals this year. His contract isn't a steal at all. it's just accurate

Is there a hypothetical legal way which would prevent players from using NMC as a leverage when they (players) want to quit? I think the main idea behind NMC is fair so they won't need to move families etc. It's just weird how recently (?) it became a tool for holding teams hostage by players wanting out.

Well, with the schedule back up to 84 games a year, it's almost like a pay cut.  🙄
