The Valley of the Queens holds the history of powerful Egyptian women, whose tombs have survived millennia. In this episode, we delve underground to uncover the mysteries of Titi and Nefertari, ancient texts, colors, and the reasons for choosing this unusual necropolis.

Between the desert and the Nile, on the west bank of Thebes, lies one of the most enigmatic necropolises of the New Kingdom. Queens, royal children, and members of the dynastic elite were buried here, and the tomb walls transformed the path to the afterlife into a detailed system of images, prayers, and symbols.

We'll discover what the tomb of the enigmatic Titi conceals, why Nefertari's tomb is considered a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian art, how the famous Egyptian blue was created, and why the paintings suffered from floods. A separate section is devoted to engineering solutions, ancient robberies, the reign of Hatshepsut, and the valley's sacred connection with the goddess Hathor.
