As a survivor of abuse, I can’t help but feel bad for Jenny. The part about not feeling sorry for her is fair game because she’s a flawed person, but I am incapable of not having empathy for what she’s gone through in life. Girl isn’t Hitler so there’s room for both feelings
2:30 na monkey noises is actually insane. he was imitating the dudes breathing when he was doing his mom cause he tried to play him before he left. lol monkey noises.
I understand everyone's frustration with Jenny, but the real villain is definitely her DAD. Cause I PROMISE you that she wouldn't be on half of the bs she was on if he wasn't in the picture. 🤷🏾♀️
Jenny didn’t get kicked out of school because she put herself in a playboy magazine. That picture of her in the letterman was a picture a boyfriend took & then out of revenge, he leaked the picture out which then got her kicked out of school. Jenny tells Forrest to run the whole movie which is what she does & has done since she was a little girl running from her father. She runs from Forrest because she doesn’t think she deserves him because she’s so fucked up from her childhood. And the letters Forrest sent her get returned because she’s traveling around the country. She didn’t deliberately not read them, they never got to her. It feels like people have a really gross misunderstanding of Jenny’s character because her love for Forrest seems unrequited when her form of loving him was keeping him away from her until the very end. Just because a woman does not return your feelings, that doesn’t make her a villain.
22:36 Jenny didn’t think she deserved his love and kept running from it because that’s all she knew to do was run. So just like forest Jenny too was running. Then when she realized she was dying and accepted she loved forest back, she contacted him. Everyone wants to act like their motivations are based off one person or they are being rude to them when in reality they aren’t, they have their own journeys and sometimes humans don’t realize or understand until they are in a position of life and death.
