All the riders took a back hander to fix races back in the day , was par for the course ! RIP simmo .

A childhood hero of mine has just ruined my faith in a sport I followed for many years. Shame on you all !!

My dad used to take me to see Poole Pirates every week. I've been back twice since Super Simmo was sacked. 2,4,6,8 who do we appreciate, SIMMO. If I remember rightly we used to sing/shout, can't remember anymore of it. Race fixing in sport ? Its got worse since.

read his book also, brilliant

couldn't have put it better....this comes as a tremendous let down to every one of us who supported him....to wear our west ham jacket and disgrace us like this is unforgiveable....have you know idea how we feel about this!!!
thanks to this preview..       i can at least not let him make more money out of us mugs...........

Yes, he was wrong to do some of the things he admits to on this DVD. But he is now being honest about those shenanigans and getting hammered for it. He can't win.

You would be very naive to believe he has been the only rider in the sport's history to ever 'sell' a point or deliberately drop points to lower his average? It's happened since the sport's pioneering days and, according to many (as far as average manipulation goes) still goes on today.

I ordered it , paid and didn't receive anything

Does it cover the bit where Simmons got nicked for breaking into his electric meter?

Wonder who he blamed that on?

That'll be an interesting read, though I won't be buying it. I detested the man for what he did at Swindon. Destroyed many people's love of the sport. Utterly disrespectful of the fans. He should have been banned for the rest of the season.

Possibly one of the reasons that speedway is largely a boring 'sport' - because of old crooks like this fixing it.
