And share this video around, I am tired of the misinformation going around about the imperium being the bad guys or satire that goes around.

I’ve always described it as: “The humans in 40k are as good as the galaxy allows them to be.”

You forgot the most important argument:

Which species was made in the Emperor's image?

Checkmate, Xenos.

I have had arguments with people who genuinely believe that survival isn't a good enough reason to do what the Imperium does and that Humanity should just roll over and allow themselves to die out. My mind can't even comprehend the sheer level of nihilism and misanthropy that could birth such an idea.

Finally, a lore channel that doesn't say "well actually the humans are the bad guys" every five minutes bc they're afraid someone might call them a fascist.

The Imperium is the absolute embodiment of the phrase "don't knock down a wall if you can't tell me what it's keeping out".

“I’m only human after all. Don’t put the blame on me.”- Ancient Terran proverb, circa M3.

I think the problem here is comparing 40k to real world politics.

The Warhammer universe justifies ideologies that are questionable in the real world simply because the universe itself operates in the rules of a worst case scenario.

"Yes, all aliens do want to eliminate humanity or just cause demons to spawn by existing. Also, yes, space satan is real. And there's four of them."

Eldar: Create the Chaos God of debauchery and excess, fuck up the galaxy.

Mankind: Create the Anathema, the god whose mere presence destroys Chaos and whom Chaos unite against.

That's all the proof you need.

Voice 1: Describing Aeldari Exodites

Voice 2: Go find a job, Hippies.

An unfathomably badass and accurate statement. The Almighty God-Emperor of Mankind surely approves.

Man this is way better than Adeptus ridiculous.

>From a lore perspective

You mean the only one that truly matters.

Suffer not the Xenos sympathizers to live!

Necrons:"Fair points. Unfortunately , you are on my fucking lawn."

There's Indian food, mexican food and Chinese food, then there's the spicy title of this video , this will be epic

I don't believe the narrative that humanity is responsible for the other chaos gods either because they lacked the numbers and psychic might at the time while the elder were at their height with absurd psychic might and spanning a huge section of the galaxy

People who call the imperium (just) fascist either don't understand fascism or the imperium.
The imperium is a lot of things, it is industrial, classist, military dictatorship, theocratic, imperial, patriotic, and probably a lot of other things I'm missing.
Yes the imperium is "bad" because EVERYTHING IN 40K IS BAD simply calling it fascist undermines the multicultural complexities of the imperium of mankind

I remember watching a short about an evacuation of held on a tyranid invaded world and a Guardsman giving his life to sneak a family on that was later revealed to be Genestealer cultists. There was a comment on the short that was complaining that "of course it's genestealers, it's all just grimderp to make doing the right thing instantly punished." or something along those lines.

That got me thinking: "What if that wasn't the case." The Guard and PDF are human, there's probably a lot of similar acts that happen, of them relaxing standards or such out of mercy. And if you think about it, letting in a genestealer infected is like a 1 in a million shot.  HOWEVER this is such a widespread issue, that 1 in a million stops being a near impossibility and instead becomes a functional inevitability. You'd probably have more than a few every city. And even if by some miracle this doesn't happen for a while, that this merciful guard has helped hundreds of thousands of innocent people by this method, once he makes that singular mistake he's doomed millions if not billions to genestealer infection by getting them onto a new planet.  Maybe even multiple planets since they could potentially spread while they were undetected. Mercy to a few is the same as cruelty to countless others.

When I think of grimdark in 40K, it's not that every act of kindness is twisted like a monkeys paw to cause more suffering, it's that those acts can and probably do save many lives but they can't be afforded because the moment a mistake occurs your mistakes cost far more good than your kindness ever provided. A numbers game on a scale so large that you can't afford any sort of regular kindness because that happen often enough that humanity will begin to die off  as statistics being to become appearant.

Let’s go. Nothing like this dropping in the middle of my painting session.

1:36 aged hilariously well

I had no idea they'd retconned the Eye of Terror. I'll choose to ignore that. It is, and always will be, the former site of the Eldar homeworlds and the birth wound of Slaanesh.
