Stunning roses. I am confused by the non-edible cone center. What is the good of the rose being edible if the center isn't? I like to tell people that the flowers are edible but in this case they would not be? Why not use all crepe paper or something else if they can't be eaten anyway. I don't think people would peel off just the petals to eat.

What gumpaste recipe do you use? Also how do you make it so it isn't dry to start with?

Kara, Your roses are exquisite! I do have a question about the Magic Model. After making the cone, do you use glue to attach and secure to the wire?

It's awesome!! Thanks a million times for sharing!
Just one question, correct me if I'm wrong - the finished yellow rose at the end of the video is not the same as the one you made in the tutorial, right? Or at least it has more petals? Did you add them the same way as those before? Or did you use wired petals? :)

I am so impressed. I have never seen such a realistic looking sugar rose. You really studied the shape of a real rose in order to understand the anatomy so well. Stunning....absolutely stunning.
