Father Alexander was a talented preacher of the word of God, a good shepherd of the Church, possessed of a generous soul and a heart devoted to the Lord. The murderers committed their evil deed at a time when he could have done so much for the spiritual enlightenment and care of the children of the Church. Not all of his opinions were fully shared by Orthodox theologians, but none of them contradicted the essence of Holy Scripture. It is precisely there that it is emphasized: "There must be variety of views among you, that the more approved may be revealed" (1 Cor. 11:19).
