This track by Raye in my opinion will be a future classic for sure
As a Raye fanboy since 2015 I cannot believe and really proud people are appreciating her qualities now
For too long many were not noticing her but are now because of this song

She does an amazing job doubling her vocals, syncing up perfectly with the vocal backing track. If you watch the backup singers carefully, you'll notice that they're not singing during most parts of the verses, the woo-hoos (with a few exceptions), and the "want it want it want it want it" part just after the bass solo. Of course, they are singing brilliantly throughout the course of the song in most instances. But it takes an enormous amount of precision to be able to coordinate all those parts with the timing of the song. Very important for the drummer to have the in-ears in order to facilitate the proper tempo so that everything syncs up flawlessly. This is easily my favorite live performance of the song. She changes it up with every performance. Boggles the mind what she and her band can do.

You should check out her performances on the Graham Norton show and Jennifer Hudson show to see how she varies the intros. Also worth noting: She has said the version on her album will NOT be the same as the single; also her intention is that the album in general will NOT sound as if it's been made in a recording studio (which I guess means it won't be much like her debut album). These are exciting times for RAYE fans ❤

Love this reaction so much, good to see you supporting UK artists! I would love to see you're reaction to singer, songwriter Young Athena - Beautifully Crushed Petals (Live at Metropolis Studios) also from the UK. After watching your breakdown to Raye who is too dope for words, I think you're really going to love what Young Athena brings to the table, the emotion, tone and control of her voice is so beautiful in my opinion!
