Flounder are a highly sought after inshore fish here along the gulf coast and for good reason! They can be tricky to dial in sometimes but in this video I show you everything you need to know to get out on the water and start catching limits of flounder such as where to find them, when to fish for them, and the best setup's to catch them with either Live Bait or Artificial! The flounder population in Alabama has grown significantly in the past few years and makes for a great species to target when speckled trout or redfish don't want to cooperate.

Hey Capt. Collier, good to see you out again. I want to tell you that I sincerely appreciate your stance on conservation of these fish. I watch some people on You Tube videos that keep every single fish and some just barely legal. I know it's hard to pitch back a keeper flounder but if you got plenty in the freezer, let'em go.

Hey Cap, you’re killing me releasing those flatties! I’m dreaming of stuffing another but need to catch one, and there you are catching them at will! Thanks for putting them back for hacks like me, LOL!

When I saw the dog bridge pop up I was in the middle of asking you if you caught any trout in there and you literally caught a speck before I could finish my comment

And all the jubilee is is hot water with low oxygen and that's why the fish and shrimp and crab and everything else piles up in the surf where the water is getting oxygenated...

And the reason tandem rigs work is because with two weighted hooks it stays in the strike zone close to bottom better than a single lightweight jig head

Capt. Collier, that was sure fun to watch. Loved the demonstration of the up and down lure technique. After hearing the last Alabama saltwater fishing report, great to see it in action and will be adding that to our flounder arsenal. Love your videos and appreciate the conservation mindset!

Can’t get Real Doormat Flounder without letting the youngiins GROW. I admire you letting them go and GROW. It makes lifetime memories for the next generation. Encourage them to release the babies.,

And the absolute best flounder methods are a jig head and soft plasticor live bait or a single hook chicken rig about 10 inches to a foot from the bottom with the hook and a soft plastic or live bait dangling right above bottom

You stay killing it man! And I appreciate the conservation mentality even though it sometimes goes against our instinct. Especially with flounder! 🤤😂

Capt., you got it going on!! I love flounder season!! Use to live in houston, ideal to go to galveston and fish flounder. Now, I live in East Texas. Nothing but the piney woods. I guarantee you, I will go back to fish them flatties!! Great video ma man. Tight lines never stop!!!
