In this episode, I spend a busy day working around my mountain home. I harvest onions and carrots from the garden, continue building my outdoor oven and barbecue, make a new feeder for my turkey, roast fresh eggplants, and prepare delicious food outdoors.
For lunch, I cook fish in a cast-iron pan, and later I prepare pork neck, bacon, and potatoes on a traditional outdoor disc.
This is a glimpse into everyday life in the Romanian Carpathians — growing our own food, building things by hand, caring for animals, and cooking simple homemade meals.
