🛠️ HOW IT WAS MADE
6oz vegetable tanned leather for the outer shell, 3oz for the card slots and lining - the thinner leather is what keeps the wallet from turning into a brick once it is folded.
The "Smith" mark was laser engraved at my local maker space. The footage of that step died with my old camera, so it is missing from the video.
This was my first wallet built this way and I got the order of a few steps wrong. It still came out well, and doing it in the wrong order once is how you learn the right one.
